Google is possibly working with Valve to bring Steam to Chrome OS.

Despite upcoming competition from the likes of Epic Games with their Epic Games Store (which has managed to carve out quite a little niche for itself already), Valve’s Steam storefront is still easily the most dominant one in the PC ecosystem. In many ways, it is synonymous with PC in a gaming sense. And it could be extending to Chrome OS soon.

According to the Android Police, they spoke with Kan Liu, Director of Product Management for Chrome OS. They said that Google is working on bringing support for Steam to Chrome OS so it can be used on Chromebooks. While there’s been workarounds to getting Steam to work on Chrome in the past via Linux, this would be official support.

Chromebooks aren’t exactly known for their power, so gaming capabilities would be limited except for the most high-end ones. But Valve has been good about getting their service to as many people as possible, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them extend Steam to Chrome OS. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

And it's only £3.99.

Sixty Second Shooter Prime, a new ID@Xbox indie game shooter, is now available on the Xbox One. The game is a classical styled twin-stick shooter where you get only one life and a timer of sixty seconds. The gameplay revolves around keeping yourself alive for as long as possible. And naturally, since this is an arcade shooter, cracking the high score is ever important too.

Sixty Second Shooter Prime has already been made available for Google’s Chrome, as well as the PlayStation Vita, but its appearance on the Xbox One marks the first time it has been made available on a home console.

Today has been a big day for the Xbox One on the indie game front, as it also received Outlast, the horror indie game on the PS4 and PC, although how exactly that happened is still up in the air currently.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
