Xbox Game Pass subscribers have quite a lot to look forward to in October with Carto, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Five Nights at Freddy’s 1 to 4 and much more out this week. But there’s even more to come. Microsoft has announced November’s initial line-up for Game Pass, which includes Matt Makes Games’ Celeste.

The critically acclaimed platformer will be available for console and PC subscribers on November 5th (with support for Android as well). Comanche comes to PC subscribers on the same day and offers modern helicopter action in various multiplayer modes. Then there’s Deep Rock Galactic, a 1 to 4 player co-op title that features Space Dwarves, mining and battles against alien hordes. It will be available for console and PC subscribers.

Other titles releasing on November 5th include Eastshade and Knights and Bikes, both playable on console and PC. ARK: Survival Evolved – Explorer’s Edition is out on November 17th for subscribers on both platforms and also supports Android. Stay tuned for more details on other Game Pass titles coming next month especially with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S launches on November 10th.

I won't believe anyone who said they saw this one coming

Over the last couple of years, THQ Nordic has slowly bought the rights to several classic (or cult classic, if you will) game IPs. There’s a lot under their belt that you expect to eventually come back in some way from Timesplitters to Red Faction. What you didn’t see coming was the return of the helicopter sim Comanche, and if you say you did, you’re lying.

What might qualify as the most random return ever, the new game is a reboot of sorts of the simulator series that saw a few games in the early to mid 1990s. There was little said about the game outside the Gamescom trailer which promises a lot of intense dogfights and multiplayer action. But hey, there’s something for everyone and those itching for a good helicopter simulator could be in for a treat.

Comanche will release sometime next year for PC. It’s said to launch in early access sometime early 2020. You can go to the game’s website, through here, to sign up for it.

City Interactive has announced that two gaming industry vets will be joining their team: Steve hart and Paul Robinson. Steve Hart is coming on as executive producer of CI Games. For the past five years he’s been working at Rebellion Games on titles such as Sniper Elite v2.

“This is a great opportunity to join an established company looking to cement its position as a serious player within the global Games Industry,” says Steve Hart, Executive Producer at CI Games. “CI Games vision, drive and determination to become a bona fide AAA developer should be applauded and having seen the likes of Enemy Front & Lords of the Fallen in production, these are exciting times for the company and I’m honored to be involved.”

Paul Robinson will go into CI Games as a member of the senior creative and design team. Robinson has worked on franchises such as Comanche, Aromored Fist, Full Spectrum Warrior, and Killzone to name a few.

“After more than two decades in game development in roles from AI programming, lead design, to game direction across a broad spectrum of genres, I am returning to my roots working on First Person Shooters with CI Games,” says Paul Robinson. “Enemy Front is an interesting and fresh take on World War 2 shooters and a perfect opportunity for me to use my experience in storytelling and game direction to ensure that the project realizes its full potential in those areas.”
