Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft will be receiving its first single-player campaign with the Curse of Naxxramas but the update will add more than just that. There will also be a bunch of new cards to play around. Blizzard Entertainment has posted the same on its official Facebook page so check them all out here.

The Curse of Naxxramas will be a relatively heavy update even without the cards as it add will be added to the game over five updates. Those who take part in the campaign with the first month of its launch will be able to access the first wing – The Arachnid Quarter – for free. Subsequent wings like the Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair will need to be paid for with either real world money or in-game gold.

A new wing will be added each week regardless after launch so you’ll have a good amount of time in between each to decide if the next one is worth investing in. Will you be plunging into Naxxramas when it goes live later today? Let us know in the comments.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft’s first major expansion, which adds a single-player campaign to the card collecting competitive title, will be releasing on July 22nd. It will be released in parts with free access for “roughly a month” to the first section for Mac, iPad and PC.

According to the Blizzard Blog, “Curse of Naxxramas goes live globally for Windows, Mac, and iPad on Tuesday, July 22, starting with the Arachnid Quarter, the first of five creepy wings that will be released weekly after the gates are opened.”

The remaining four “wings” will need to be opened up by paying 7$ a piece (you could also pay for all four parts at a discounted rate).

Blizzard have announced a new single player mode for their dungeon crawler, Hearthstone, called Curse of Naxxramas, making the announcement at PAX East, while also giving some fresh information on what it will be like.

The ancient necropolis Naxxramas, a base of operations for the powerful lich Kel’Thuzad and his plague-bearing undead host, comes to Hearthstone in a single player PvE Adventure that anyone can undertake,” says Blizzard.

There will be five wings of a dungeon for all players to play through all by themselves, and you’ll be able to earn new cards by defeating the new “iconic” bosses of the game. There are, of course, new cards that have been added, some of which (such as Shade of Naxxramas, Undertaker, Dancing of Swords) look rather interesting. A total of 30 new cards, in fact, will be added to the game.
