Gaming is a recreational activity, and while it is supposed to relieve depression and anxiety, overdoing it can result in an opposite result.

This information comes form an Australian study, and was conducted by Daniel Loton at Victoria University. They were studying the mental and physical capacity of gamers who gamed more than 21 hours per week and gamers who played more than that.

The results were surprising. Those with more than 21 hours per week reported 25% more depression and 15% more stress and anxiety.

“But most alarming was that excessive gamers scored more than half the maximum measure for each and enough to determine clinical significance,” said Lotion.

Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
