Following the Amazon listings for Darksiders 3, Gunfire Games’ much anticipated sequel to the action adventure series, Darksiders: Fury’s Collection – War and Death has appeared on the PlayStation Store.

What’s interesting about this compilation is that it seems to contain Darksiders Warmastered and Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition, the two remastered versions of the classic games that recently released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We’re not sure why Fury, the protagonist of Darksiders 3, has her name attached but if you want to catch up on the series on PS4, this is the best way to do it.

Darksiders 3 is apparently coming in 2018 for current gen platforms and will see players taking control of Fury, one of the Four Horsemen. Fury uses magic and a whip along with different forms to battle her enemies. She’ll be going up against the Seven Deadly Sins, of all things. Stay tuned for an official announcement from THQ Nordic soon.

Ever since Darksiders: Warmastered Edition was first announced, its been clear that THQ Nordic is looking to make the game as pretty as possible. Now it turns out, the company has confirmed this title will be the first it has released that will come with PS4 Pro support.

In order to celebrate this news, THQ Nordic released a brand new teaser trailer, and set of screenshots to show off just how pretty the game will be when it hits store shelves later this month. The firm also announced it is still working on bringing a version of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition to the Wii U, though just when it will be coming to that console is not yet known.

Check out the video and the screenshots below to see if this game looks like it’s worth your time. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is due out on the Xbox One and PS4 on November 22 and will launch on the PC on November 29.

THQ Nordic are working on reviving themselves, the THQ brand, a significant portion of THQ properties, which they hold- and one of the first fruits of this initiative will be the upcoming Darksiders Warmastered Edition, which is set to launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Wii U soon.

GamingBolt recently had the chance to talk to Reinhard Pollice, Business and Product Development Director at THQ Nordic, and we decided to ask him some questions about the remaster. Speaking about the updates to the game engine, and the improvements to the game’s graphics, Pollice said, “so actually the whole backend renderer was replaced. We have done a lot of reworks to the shadow quality by increasing the resolution by 4 times and using different methods to make it look better. We have also added some nice post processing effects like chromatic aberration, sharpen and FXAA but we know that they are a matter of taste so users can switch them off – even on the console versions. Overall we increased all texture resolutions by 4 or at least 2 times.”

He also confirmed tat the game would run at 1080p and 60fps on Xbox One and PS4, both- and that parity would even be generally mentioned across those two versions and the PC version in general, barring some extra options on PC.”[1080p and 60fps is] our goal. We are still working hard to optimize it to the max,” he said.”[The PC version] will have some more options but pretty basic stuff- other than that it’s the same.”

So it sounds like no matter what platform you own, you can expect a good remaster of Darksiders with Darksiders Warmastered.
