Activision confirmed that Blizzcon 2011 will be taking place from October 21-22.

The event has retained the Anaheim covention center as its choice for the venue.

“We look forward to holding another exciting BlizzCon this year, filled with some great entertainment and competition, as well as the latest news about Blizzard games,” said Blizzard boss, Mike Morhaime.

“BlizzCon is built from the ground up with our community in mind — we’re pleased to be able to host an event where players can come together to have fun and celebrate their passion for gaming.”

Expect lots of info and new announcements during the event.

Inversion, the sci-fi shooter from Saber Interactive has finally got a release date.

The game’s scheduled to release on Feb 7, 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The game’s was originally heading for a undisclosed 2010 release window but now it’s been pushed back into next year.

The game does hold promise and we hope it brings some fresh elements to the genre.

In case you don’t know, Saber’s rumored to be developing a Halo HD remake for Xbox 360.

Capcom’s just announced that MotoGP 10/11 will be releasing across Europe on March 18th.

There will also be a demo released for the game which will allow gamers a chance to test it out. The demo will be released sometime in February for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The game will be releasing for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Ubisoft has announced that the Chimera Pack DLC for R.U.S.E, their futuristic strategy title, will be releasing on January 18.

A tweet on the dev’s account confirmed this news as well as stating that more info about the pack will follow soon.

This is the second DLC pack for the game, with the first titled, Manhattan Project releasing last month.

Square’s announced the European release date for their third-person shooter Mindhack today. It’s releasing on Jan 21.

Square Enix has earlier confirmed that the shooter would see a Jan 17 release in US and Jan 27 release in Japan.

The game’s due out for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The shooter claims to “blur the line between traditional single and multi-player gameplay, creating a experience where NPCs can at any moment take the roles of human-controlled allies or enemies.

Sounds cool innit.

CD Projekt has revealed that Witcher 2 will be releasing on May 17, 2011 as opposed to its earlier release schedule.

The studio also hinted at some “hot news” that will be made known about the game in their upcoming CD Projekt Conference in Nov 18.

“We’ve decided to move the launch date back a few weeks to afford us more time to polish the game,” aid Adam Badowski, project lead at CD Projekt RED. “Of course, we know that players would like to get the game as soon as possible, so we hope that they will forgive us! We strongly believe that the extra time spent polishing the title will be well worth the wait”.

There’s lot to expect from this conference, with more launch details, info on the game’s Collector’s Edition and more to be discussed during it.

The Witcher is a great RPG and everyone should be excited.

SCEE’s announced Dead Nation will be landing on European shores on December 1st.

The game’s gonna hit US just a day prior to that (Nov 30).

“We’ll be giving you an up-close look at Dead Nation’s metagame that will pit country versus country in a global battle for high score dominance and the ultimate bragging rights,” said SCEA producer Daimion Pinnock.

The game’s gonna cost $15 and will come with trophies and a “metagame”.

The EU PS Blog has just posted details regarding the limited edition of Killzone 3, known as the Helghast Edition. They have also revealed various pre-order incentives that you will get if you pre-order your copy from a specific outlet.

The Killzone 3 Helghast Edition will be priced at $129.99 and will release on the same date as the standard edition.

Atlus’s just confirmed a Feb 17, 2011 release date for Catherine, the first HD game by the team behind Persona.

The game will release for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will cost you ¥7,329.

Nothing’s been confirmed about if this game will see a release on Western shores yet.

MS has confirmed that Kinect will be be launching with  17 controller free titles to back it up.

These launch titles will be covering a wide array of genres and are meant to appeal especially to families who are keen on buying the motion tech.

Back in the day, the Xbox 360 debuted with 18 launch titles to support it.
