This weeks’ Xbox Live Deals with Gold have been announced and they lean heavily on a couple of the newest Electronic Arts offerings. Both Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 are seeing their prices cut by about 50 percent. Other games, such as Assassin’s Creed Chronicles and Ghostbusters are also seeing massive price cuts.

For those that had long been considering buying either Titanfall 2 or Battlefield 1 when they were full priced, there’s an extra special deal for you. The two games have been put into a bundle that would normally cost $150 since they are both the deluxe editions.

In this Deals with Gold offering, you can get both the deluxe games, which includes a ton of DLC and add-ons, for just $75. Finally, anyone who hasn’t gotten on the Watch Dogs 2 train yet can now do it for about half the price of the regular, gold and deluxe editions of the game.

Some pretty good and under-appreciated games are on sale on Xbox Live this week, thanks to this week’s Games with Gold. In the month of Fallout and Tomb Raider, you can still pick up some great, older games for cheaper prices.

Both Xbox One and Xbox 360 get some good deals- Xbox One owners can try getting their hands on ScreamRide, the roller coaster game released for earlier this year; EA Sports UFC and Lords of the Fallen are all also on sale. Meanwhile, Xbox 360 owners get ScreamRide as well, along with SSX and FIFA Street.

The full list of games available on sale this week doesn’t get more impressive than the games already mentioned above, but it’s nothing to sneeze at either. Albeit I imagine most Xbox players are really more concerned with Fallout or Tomb Raider right now than ScreamRide or EA Sports UFC.

Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 2 has some pretty good discounts on this week’s Deals With Gold on Xbox Live. These discounts are only for Xbox Live Gold subscribers though.

Forza Horizon 2 is the only Xbox One game that’s been discounted this week but there’s a wide variety of discounts to choose from. You can pick up the Digital Edition at a 20 percent discount, the Car Pass for 50 percent off, the Deluxe Edition for 30 percent off and the Ultimate Edition of the game for #0 percent off. The discounts will be valid till April 13th.

Xbox 360 games do have a decent range of discounts to choose from include Serious 3: BFE (67 percent off), Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter (67 percent off), F1 2014 (50 percent off), Naruto Storm Revolution (50 percent off) and many more. Some of these discounts are available to Silver members so that’s a plus.

Microsoft has updated the lineup of games that it will be offering on discounted prices and on sale as part of its Deals with Gold initiative, and it’s actually a fairly good list of games, available at some nice prices, including some of the biggest games available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, including some of the most compelling exclusives the Xbox One has, such as Sunset Overdrive and Dead Rising 3.

Those are some neat games- even Final Fantasy XIII-2 is actually the best of the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, and is not all that hard of a recommendation.

PopCap Games is the star of this week’s Deals With Gold on Xbox Live. Gold subscribers will have a chance to avail of discounts on major PopCap releases on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 from now till December 15th.

For Xbox One users, you’ll be able to pick up Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare at 66 percent discount and Peggle 2 at a 60 percent discount. The Xbox 360 has a wider range of discounted titles available with Peggle, Bejeweled 3, Peggle Nights, Zuma’s Revenge, Plants vs. Zombies, Feeding Freenzy 1 & 2 discounted at 50 percent. Like the Xbox One version, the Xbox 360 version of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is discounted by 66 percent.

As I said yesterday, the good thing is that more and more digital stores are jumping onto this whole Black Friday bandwagon thing; we reported yesterday on some deals that Xbox would be offering on the Xbox Live store to Xbox Live Gold members via Deals with Gold; now, Major Nelson has gone ahead and detailed the full extent of games and titles that they will be discounting, and it’s a pretty cool and extensive list of games available at some great prices.

It’s a nice sale overall, and it’s good to see the console makers embrace the idea of sales on digital games- I guess we have Valve and Steam to thank for that.
