A New Game In The Works From Kadokawa And Dengeki

Earlier today, a new website appeared from the Dengeki domain which leads to a countdown for a brand new game. Thus far nothing is known about the game, other than that it will be a collaborative effort from Dengeki and Kadokawa Games, a publisher who has been associated with many high profile Japanese games in the past including Grasshopper Manufacture’s recent Killer is Dead.

On the development side of things, Kadokawa games has been responsible for such titles as Lunae: Silver Star Story Complete, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete, EbiKore+ Amagami, Earth Seeker, Kantai Collection and Natural Doctrine.

Dengeki is one of the more recognizable names worldwide when it comes to Japanese media. They and their subsidiaries are responsible for the publishing and the development of numerous magazines, games and comic books which have seen release across the globe.

While virtually nothing has been revealed about the upcoming game at this point, it’s safe to assume that a collaboration from these two Japanese powerhouses won’t likely disappoint.

New Tales game hinted for the Vita soon

Series producer Makoto Yoshizumi had a lot to say in an interview with Dengeki. He said that work has already begun on the new Tales game and hinted that it may be headed to the Vita. Tales of Xillia comes out this year for the PS3.

Take this information with a pinch of salt but considering Sony’s popularity in Japan, it may very well be true.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII won’t be shown at TGS

Final Fantasy Versus XIII fans have to wait a bit longer to know more information about the game that has been in development for a long time. It’s a given that Square Enix wouldn’t show Versus before Final Fantasy XIII-2, so that people give more attention to the latter. Tetsuya Nomura said that the title won’t be shown at TGS in an interview with Dengeki via Andriasang.

Nomura also revealed some information about Kingdom Hearts 3D and Final Fantasy Typo – 0 in the magazine. It was regarding the voice actors for these games.

The game was initially revealed for Playstation 3 and is supposed to be an exclusive.

Demons Souls sequel hinted?

After the massive success of Demons Souls, it would not surprise anyone to hear of a sequel. But so soon?

A podcast by Dengeki Games is said to mention an ‘unannounced sequel to a game which came out last year, slated to be released in Fall of 2010’.

The game is also mentioned to be extremely difficult, and featuring new gameplay features. That smells a awful lot like Demons Souls, but nothing official has been confirmed.
