<p>The Development team working on Hellblade have released their second developers diary for the game titled,<a href="http://vimeo.com/104928755"> Development Diary 2: Art Inspiration</a>. In the video blog members of the team discuss what they&#8217;ve discovered about the cultures of the artefacts and say that it was &#8220;a great reference gathering trip.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that the developers aren&#8217;t replicating the objects that they seen and are referencing but are using them as a standard model to build upon. This is represented beautifully at the 1:43 mark of the video where we can see some sort of hell-beast get a very heavily inspired Norse headpiece that changes the entire look and feel of the creature.</p>
<p>Hellblade is currently being developed and published by Ninja Theory (not to be confused with Team Ninja) for the PlayStation 4. Being a person that loves art and it&#8217;s role in games, I have complete faith in their abilities to make an inspired yet original art style for their game. After all, they are the folks behind DMC: Devil May Cry.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Bethesda’s Todd Howard, game director of the upcoming The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has explained what the development team has done and what changes it has made to make sure that Skyrim on the Xbox 360 looks better than their previous titles on the system did.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Speaking in a dev diary (via <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J09c7t83aus&amp;feature=player_detailpage#t=102s">TheGamerXperience</a>), Howard said: &#8220;We’ve pretty much rewritten all the graphics and the gameplay system, as well as used a new face system and interface system.</p>
<p>And we knew coming off of Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360, that there was a lot we could still do to really harness the power of it. There is just this unlimited amount of detail we put into the world, from little things like forks and berries to mountains and dragons.</p>
<p>“We want all of that scale on the screen at once, and that’s kind of the trickiest thing for us to pull off, but it’s ended up really nice.”</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re just really thankful that so many people have taken to the kind of games that we make,&#8221; he went on. &#8220;Because they are big crazy things that we enjoy, and not a lot of people don’t make them, so the fact that they’ve been successful allows us to keep doing it, so that is really rewarding.”</p>
