Call of Duty: Ghosts’ latest DLC Devastation is now available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 via Xbox Live. It features four new maps – Ruins, Collision, Behemoth and Unearthed – one of which allows you to take on the role of the Predator of sci-fi film lore, along with a brand new chapter for the Extinction campaign titled “Mayday”.

Vice President of Production for Activision Daniel Suarez stated that,“Devastation is another incredible offering for fans to sink their teeth into. With an array of new maps tuned for the fast-paced, run-and-gun action Call of Duty is best known for, new weapons in both multiplayer and Extinction mode, the next chilling entry in the game’s Extinction story, and now the Predator – Devastation continues the unparalleled season of Call of Duty: Ghosts post-launch content.”

Devastation will be releasing for Xbox Live first while other platforms such as PS3, PS4 and PC will receive it later.

Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts will be seeing the new Devastation DLC is launching today and the developer has released a new 2 GB update to go along with it. The update adds some thing that should mix up the gameplay significantly: a load-out generator that creates personalized load-outs depending on your requirements.

You can create Tracked Operations load-outs which help towards the same; Progressed Operations load-outs which help in operations close to completion; and Most Operations load-outs that will help get you through the most number of operations. There’s also a Random load-out generator which challenges you to be “crazy enough” to try it. The update also adds new “Teeth Armour” for use in Extinction mode (as indicated by this Reddit post).

Mayday follows the first episode (Onslaught’s Nightfall) in which a Quick Reaction Force is investigating a high-tech ship in the South Pacific. Aliens aren’t very far behind though with the Seeder and gargantuan Kraken looking to derail your progress. Luckily, you’ll have five new weapons and items to help you and your allies out.

The Devastation DLC will also include four new maps, new weapons and the aforementioned Predator. It will release for Xbox One and Xbox 360 via Live on April 3rd while other platforms will see its release later. Infinity Ward’s next big DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts, Devastation, will be out on April 3rd and the developer has released the first trailer for the same. Much like Onslaught’s Michael Myers, it appears that Devastation will have the otherworldly Predator as a playable character. Check out the trailer above.

The map Ruins seems to contain the Predator and it also features volcanic eruptions that can eliminate other players in hails of fiery projectiles. The trailer also showcases chapter 2 of the new Extinction campaign, titled “Mayday” and set on a sea freighter. The first episode of the new campaign, “Nightfall”, debuted in Onslaught.
