In an interview with Flying Wild Hog, Gamingbolt received some new details on the upcoming Shadow Warrior remake. According to the developers, this new Shadow Warrior will feature an updated and more engrossing storyline:

“The story is a lot more engrossing in the new Shadow Warrior and something we are very proud of in the final game. There is a great mythology and motivations in the narrative. But of course you can skip it all and get back to the action – sometimes you just want to hack demons apart and that is fine too.”

The developers also went on to give some insight into how long it will take to complete the game’s single player campaign:

“5 – 8 hours depending on the difficulty level and how thorough gamers are in finding all the secrets.”

In discussing some of the original game’s more classic weapons, they also provided a glimpse at what we can expect from returning fan favorite weapons, such as the katana, and from newer weapons:

“The katana is amazing and there will be old favorites like machine guns, quad barrel shotguns, and even demon heads that unleash energy beams. The new crossbow is quite fun as well.”

Developer Digital have released a hilarious new trailer for the upcoming reboot of the controversial first person shooter game, Shadow Warriors.

This reboot of Shadow Warrior will be edited in several ways, eliminating the game’s multiplayer mode.

However, there’s still plenty to look forward to, as shown in the above trailer. Some not-to-be-overlooked highlights include:

• Fully destructive bycycles
• Optional Katana maintenance (wiping the blood off)
• Tasteful product placement
• Advanced fish physics
• Next-gen tree-swaying

If the trailer is any indication of things to come, we can rest assured that this new incarnation of Shadow Warriors will retain its iconic style and sense of humor, while still delivering a new and improved take on a classic.

Shadow Warrior launches September 26th for PC.

Developer Digital has announced that Serious Sam 3: BFE will be releasing on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. It will be available for 1200 Microsoft Point, and people can start downloading the first person shooter starting October 17.

“Ever since we announced Serious Sam 3: BFE our fans have asked us to bring the game to Xbox LIVE Arcade,” said Davor Hunski, Chief Creative Guy at Croteam. “Boom. Done.”

The new campaign extension of the game, along with the co-op, the multiplayer (in its entirety) and, of course, the base campaign itself, will all be available on launch itself, with no extra charge attached.

The game will feature 25 Achievements, leaderboards and local split screen co-op too.

“Awesome, now I can go from getting absolutely annihilated by some loudmouth with a mouse and keyboard to getting annihilated by some loudmouth with an Xbox 360 controller,” said Fork Parker, Devolver Digital CFO. “Damn these silky smooth thumbs.”
