Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is now one year old. To celebrate the occasion, the developer will be granting a 100 percent bonus to gold find and experience. The best part is that these bonuses will be in addition to the bonuses you accrue from gear and items.

The bonuses begin at 12 AM CET today and last until March 20th, 11:59 PM CET. It should be noted that console owners will need to own the Ultimate Evil Edition of the game to avail of the bonuses.

Blizzard is currently prepping another update to Reaper of Souls on top of introducing the third Season in the coming weeks. The new Season will allow players to create a new character and run it through all of the content for the chance at new Season-exclusive gear.

The latest UKIE game charts courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track are now available and it seems that the debut of 4A Games’ Metro: Redux last week was successful enough in the UK to dethrone Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition which recently released for Xbox One and PS4.

Meanwhile, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Remastered is at third place. There are currently three HD remasters which are the top selling titles in the UK. Ponder that for a minute. Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is still doing fairly well after releasing recently for the PS3 and PS4 while Call of Duty: Ghosts is in fifth place. Madden NFL 15 was the other big release of the week, entering at sixth place. The usual suspects – Grand Theft Auto 5, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Watch Dogs and Titanfall – made up the remainder of the top ten.

The Sims 4 will be available soon for PC so we’ll see how it fares.

Lest you think Blizzard Entertainment will release Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition on the Xbox One and PS4 only to forget about it shortly thereafter, production director John Hight stated on Xbox Wire that the former would receive updates very quickly after their release on PC.

Microsoft further added that the Xbox One was “powerful enough to handle large-form patches and can update games in the background.”

Meanwhile, Hight stated on the PlayStation Blog that, “The next-gen console architecture makes it much easier for us to offer ongoing patch support for the PS4 version of the Ultimate Evil Edition. This means that as we continue to patch the game on PC, we’ll now be able to roll out related patch content, as appropriate, on PS4 as well. It’ll take some additional time beyond the PC patch roll out, but we’ll get them to you as quickly as possible.”

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will release on Xbox One and PS4 on August 19th.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will be running at 1080p and 60 FPS when it launches thanks to a day one patch. This will bring the game up to the PS4’s standard, which was announced to run at 1080p when the Xbox One version was revealed to be running at 900p.

Blizzard associate producer Tiffany Wat stated to GameSpot that, “The game will be available [in] 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day-one patch for the Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there. We’re very happy about that.”

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will be out on August 19th for the PS4 and Xbox One and it will include the original game along with the Reaper of Souls expansion. Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will mark the debut of the series on Xbox One and PS4. It will also be releasing on Xbox 360 and PS3 – which marks the debut of Reaper of Souls on current gen platforms – but next gen gamers will be receiving more content in the process. It will include the Adventure Mode and a mode to allow low-level players to play alongside high-level players and progress faster, not to mention a new campaign Act.

The closed beta test for the upcoming expansion to Diablo 3, Reaper of Souls, began today. The expansion pack will be hitting retail next year for PC, Mac and PS4.

To sign up for the beta, all you have to do is head to your profile on Battle.net, select the Beta Profile Settings page and tick the box marked “Diablo”. From there, Blizzard Entertainment will decide via draw whether you get access to the beta. Players will be able to use their pre-existing characters for the same and best of all, you can share as much as you like about your experience since there’s no non-disclosure agreement.

As the first expansion pack to Diablo 3, Reaper of Souls will include a new class, new passive abilities and a fourth slot for the same, new weapons and armour, a level of 70 and brand new enemies to fight. Though releasing separately for PC and Mac, it will be release along with the original game on the PS4 as part of the Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition.
