Bungie's online shooter still reigns supreme in the UK despite falling sales.

The latest UKIE game charts are now available courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track and Bungie’s Destiny is still on top after debuting two weeks ago. Despite sales dropping by 78 percent, the PS4 bundles of the game are still selling strong. The bundles made up 72 percent of hardware in the past week.

Disney Infinity 2.0 surprisingly debuted in second place with 32 percent higher sales than the original. Nintendo’s Hyrule Warriors had a very strong start as well at third place while Watch Dogs sat comfortably in fourth place. The Sims 4 is now at fifth while Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Minecraft: PS3 Edition, The Last of Us: Remastered and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare making up the remaining top ten.

Destiny has been doing extremely well since its launch with Bungie reporting the average play session to be three hours long (that too on weekdays) with more than 137 million hours logged since launch.

Because it's not like this game makes enough money anyway.

Disney Infinity was a success that everyone saw coming when it finally released last year. I mean, a video game that doubles as a line of collectible figures (which can, helpfully enough, also be used in the game in question) at a mostly cheap and affordable price, tapping into Disney and Pixar’s wealth of properties? And you say it was a success? No way.

Anyway, jokes and sarcasm aside, it did well, and naturally, we are getting a sequel this year, which has, straightforwardly enough, been called just Disney Infinity 2.0. The draw this time is the inclusion of Marvel characters, which should see the cachet of the game rise tenfold.

In any case, if you want to start playing out the game, and don’t know where to begin, Disney Interactive today announced that a special Disney-themed Toy Box Starter Pack is set to launch this November, just in time for the holidays. The Disney Infinity: Toy Box Starter Pack (2.0 Edition) gives Disney fans the chance to experience the new and improved Toy Box 2.0 mode, set in the wonderful world of Disney, and is compatible with the game’s Marvel Play Sets.

“Disney Infinity fans spend the majority of their time inside the Toy Box mode, and with our new Toy Box Starter Pack, we’re giving Disney fans an alternative entry point to the Disney Infinity sequel,” said John Blackburn, Vice President and General Manager of Avalanche Software. “We’ve completely re-tooled the Toy Box for this year’s version of Disney Infinity, and we want every Disney fan to experience it using their favorite Disney or Marvel characters.”

The Starter Pack will set you back by $60 (so the price of a regular game), so it should see some pretty good business over the holiday season.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, the sequel/expansion to Disney’s own take on the NFC toy enabled video games genre that launched last year, will be available in North America on September 23, the company announced at San Diego Comic Con today. The new game, as the title implies, is going to have Marvel’s super heroes take the center stage, with all new Marvel Play Sets available in stores, alongside the return of the popular Toy Box mode.

Disney also announced a pre-order promotion for the game today: starting today through September 22, as a bonus for pre-ordering the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack, consumers will receive a Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel figure (valued at $13.99) from top retailers nationwide.

As with Activision’s Skylanders series, all toys and figures bought for the Disney Infinity release last year will be compatible with this year’s games.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.

More characters to be revealed in coming months.

Disney Infinity 2.0 continues to grow in size and after announcing all of the characters from the previous game and Marvel Super Heroes, along with Merida and Maleficent, Disney Interactive has announced that Tinker Bell and Stitch are coming to the game as well this Fall.

Arguably two of Disney’s most popular characters of all time, Tinker Bell comes the Peter Pan franchise and can both fly as well as use Pixie Dust to heal. Stitch on the other hand will come with a super jump ability and use his cosmic blaster to take on foes. He’s also annoying but in that awesomely loveable way that defines none of the characters from Frozen (you hear us Pixar? None of them!).

Stitch and Tinker Bell will be available this Fall for Disney Infinity 2.0 and Disney Interactive will announce more play sets and characters in the next few months so stay tuned for more information.
