May 7th sees the addition of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for all three platforms and tiers alongside Dungeons of Hinterberg, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and Metal Slug Tactics for consoles on Game Pass Standard. Revenge of the Savage Planet arrives on May 8th for Ultimate and PC Game Pass alongside Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, which is also playable for Standard subscribers.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 launches for cloud and consoles on May 13th, followed by DOOM: The Dark Ages on May 15th. Subscribers can purchase the Premium Upgrade to start playing two days early.

Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is next on May 16th followed by Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers on May 20th.

Of course, some titles will also leave the service on May 15th. These include:

#15. DRAGON BALL Z: RAGING BLAST 2

Memories of the Raging Blast games often go hand-in-hand wit the very strong feeling that they never quite matched up to the Budokai Tenkaichi games, but viewed on their own, they had their fair share of strengths. Raging Blast 2 in particular had plenty to like, from its strong roster of playable fighters to the explosive fighting mechanics it touted. Frustrating camera controls and the lack of a story mode were certainly major issues, but the game was not without its redeeming qualities.

The DLC will revolve around Fu, who is seemingly experimenting with super villain energy. The DLC, titled Future Saga, doesn’t yet have a release date. It will be released in four parts over time, with the trailer teasing Chapter 1.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. A current-gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is slated for release on May 24. Those who already own the previous-generation version of the game can get the new versions for free through PlayStation Free Upgrades and Xbox Smart Delivery.

Since its original release back in 2016, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has proven to be quite successful for publisher Bandai Namco and developer Dimps. Back in May 2023, the publisher revealed that the game had sold over 10 million copies.

Transferring save data from the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on to the equivalent current-gen console will be a more involved process, however, and detailed instructions will be revealed later.

While Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is making its way on to more platforms after having been out since back in 2016, Bandai Namco is keeping releases based on the Dragon Ball franchise strong. The publisher is currently working with Spike Chunsoft on the spiritual successor to the Dragon Ball Tenkaichi Budokai series of games, dubbed Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.

Dragon Ball FighterZ also recently got a new leash on life with its recent release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as addition of rollback netcode to the fighting game. Both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 have been incredibly successful, with Bandai Namco having revealed last year that the two titles had sold over 10 million copies each.

Taking to Twitter, Bandai Namco recently announced that 2016’s Dimps-developed action RPG Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and 2017’s Arc System Works-developed fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ have both now sold over 10 million units each across all platforms. At last count, less than a couple of years ago, both games had sold over eight million units, so both have clearly seen sustained sales over a pretty lengthy period.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will also be adding rollback netcode support in the game’s Steam version later this year.

Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 are both available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, while the former is also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

PS4 players also gain access to Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX and Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5. But other titles includ Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Origins, Rabbids Invasion: The Interactive TV Show, Rayman Legends, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition, and Watch Dogs 2 are also included.

The Classics Catalog, exclusive to PS Plus Premium subscribers, includes Syphon Filter 2 on the PS One. PS3 titles available via cloud streaming include Bentley’s Hackpack, The Sly Collection, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. The new PlayStation Portable titles for the month include Kingdom of Paradise and Toy Story 3.

The upcoming new DLC will be adding Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-) as a playable character, the form being one of the newer ones featured in the Dragon Ball Super anime a few years ago. Since this is the first stage of the form, the character will have black hair.

The new DLC character was decided after fans voted for the same as a playable character, claiming victory over other options like Dyspo, Bergamo, Vegeta from Dragon Ball GT, and Android 18 from Dragon Ball Super.

The upcoming paid DLC is slated to launch sometime in the summer. Check out a small glimpse of it in the trailer below.

Bandai Namco announced that Jiren (Full Power) from Dragon Ball Super will be the next DLC character, releasing some screenshots of the buff villain that you can see below. Jiren was technically added to the roster already, but only in his base form. He served as the final villain to overcome in the Super anime TV series, which is currently on hiatus. Alongside the character, there will also be outfits based on classic Dragon Ball Bulma as well Future Trunks for your customized avatar, both of which you can also see below. The Dragon Ball franchise is the healthiest it’s ever been, and that’s been reflected in its video game adaptations. From the successful RPG of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot to the beloved fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ, it’s a good time to be a fan of the series. Fans will also know that revivals are always part of the narrative, and one of the gen’s older Dragon Ball games is getting another bit of life unexpectedly.

As announced in the latest issue of V-Jump, 2016’s Xenoverse 2 has now passed the milestone of six million copies sold. Not only that, it was announced to be getting a surprise update as well despite the fact that support for the game has ended. The update will include the Supreme Kai of Time, Chronoa, as a playable character, a Broly wig, a Supreme Kai of Time costume and new Partner customization options. No date was given for when to expect the update (thanks as always to Gematsu for transcribing and translation).

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Google has announced all of the titles that Stadia, its game streaming platform, will launch with. A total of 12 games will be available with 14 more titles coming by 2019 end. The list includes big names like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Destiny 2: Collection, Mortal Kombat 11 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

It’s worth noting that those who purchased the Founder’s Edition of Google Stadia will receive a three month subscription to Stadia Pro. This enables playing Destiny 2: Collection, which includes the latest expansion Shadowkeep, at no additional cost. Though free games will be added to the service overtime, customers will still need to buy games to play them.

Releasing on November 19th, Stadia’s main selling point is the lack of any dedicated hardware and the ability to play games anywhere. Google also promises that games on Stadia will feel faster and more responsive than they would on local hardware in the coming years.
