A complete guide for DriveClub.

Check out this complete guide for DriveClub. Using this guide you will be able to level up quickly, gain points/fame faster and unlock fast cars. You will also learn the tips and tricks on drifting, grinding and how to become a better driver. Furthermore we have also included guides for customization, a list of all cars, the fastest car in the game and some of the trophies in the game.

DriveClub is available for the PS4 and is being developed by Evolution Studios while being published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Let us know if you have any questions in the comments section below the article.

Leveling up and gaining points/fame quickly and Unlocking faster cars:

Progression in DriveClub works by the means of completing objectives, gaining points to raise stats and level up, and earning cash in order to purchase vehicles. Vehicles are only available to unlock once the player has reached a certain level and met the right criteria. Joining a club and racing with friends online is the best way to earn these requirements as certain vehicles can only be unlocked through this method. Below is a video guide detailing various ways to level up faster by completing race objectives.

Drifting

As stated in the video below when it comes to drifting, the focus should be on the game mode’s actual objectives rather than its lap time.

The video below demonstrates more drifting and the importance of racking up points around corners in order to keep the numbers high.

Earning Fame

Known as Fame the game’s currency is earned based on the statistics of the race and its results. As you can see from the video below adjusting the race settings such as difficulty, number of laps, and number of opponents can have an effect on the amount of fame that’s earned.

Choosing to race with one car over another even for temporary purposes can prove useful in levelling up quickly. Racing against certain cars be they ones that are faster and being raced against at higher difficulties can vary the amount of points the player earns, in reference to how well they actually drive.

Grinding

The other means of progressing quickly on DriveClub comes from good old fashioned grinding. Focusing on just one car manufacturer and becoming familiar with it’s cars will also help the player become a better, as well as levelling up. Driving with the cars from just one manufacturer and concentrating on the championship events in the game is a fast way of earning fame and levelling up. See video below.

Customization:

DriveClub features both a character and car customization menu so that players can stand out and be distinct amongst their peers online.

Customizing characters allows the player to set their gender and race, then decide upon a set of preset appearances from a selection of heads and bodies. While there’s nothing in-depth here that will allow the player to create a character in their own image, it adds a touch the game that does well in complimenting sense of belonging to a club, and racing with friends online.

Customizing cars provides more choices as opposed to that of the player’s character. Customization works through the means of the car’s visuals rather than their performance. The player is able to set up custom presets for each car so that they may switch between designs already created before heading in to a race.

There are five paint designs to choose from under different themes. Rebel, Graphic, Street, Retro, and Bonus. Each theme gives choices for different designs with the player to further adjust these by switching out the colours through a paint job. The player is also able to set their race number and club badge to represent their club.

Cars:

DriveClub features five tiers of vehicles all different one and other in terms of handling, acceleration, performance, drifting, and the like. Players should become familiar with each tier of vehicle while focusing on which ever one they feel most comfortable with. Below is a list of the cars available in each tier and the required level in which they will unlock.

General Tips & Tricks:

Drifting: Learning to drift properly is one of the most beneficial ways in earning fame so that the player can progress quickly throughout the game. As drifting relies on balance and skill of the car’s acceleration and braking, it would be wise to spend time practising this and maybe attempting to master drifting with just one car, so that the player becomes comfortable with what drifting fully entails.

Clubs: As the name of the game implies joining a club is the central role in how the game was designed to be played. Racing alongside friends and challenging rival squads will not only help the player in becoming a better driver both solo and co-operatively, but it will also aid in raking up the cash quicker, as well as reward points.

Driving: DriveClub is by no means different from any other racing game in terms of how the player should be driving on the basis of common-sense and gut instincts. Driving aggressively and defensively is key to remaining ahead of your opponents and the penalty for doing so isn’t large enough to place doubt in the player’s mind. This tactic can prove useful for beginners as they learn to become better drivers and work with their team mates more professionally while they level up.

Switch Cars: While there’s an importance on mastering just a few selection of cars and bringing out the player’s full potential on the track, the player isn’t going to achieve this just by sticking with the first car that flashes it’s wing mirror. Trying out other vehicles and finding which works best is highly beneficial for the player rather than just sticking out with one that may be holding them back.

Trophies:

In DriveClub there are 32 trophies to collect in total. Below is a video guide and a list on how to achieve some of them. DriveClub’s DLC Trophy Tour pack 1 contains additional trophies that can be achieved. The PlayStation Plus Edition also contains a Platinum.
