PS3’s price has been officially dropped in India after the announcement at GamesCom. International prices for PS3 are $250, 250 Euros and 199 Pounds, and India follows this with a Rs 3,000 drop on the 160GB model and a Rs 3,700 drop on the 320GB Move bundle.

It remains to be seen whether the price drop will result in explosive sales, since the drop is a tiny but meaningful one. This should help Sony a bit during the holidays to meet their FY 2012 projections.

You can officially buy the PS3 at Rs 16,900 for the 160GB model and Rs 19,990 in India.
