Deus Ex continues the franchise with Deus Ex: Human Revolution that will be out March 8th, 2011 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. The game will have an Augmented Edition which will include a 40-page art book, a making-of DVD and an animated graphic novel in in some fancy packaging only setting you back and extra $10 for $69.99, cheaper for the PC with it retailing for $49.99 and the Augmented Version for $59.99.

Aside from that edition there are so far to different pre-order bonuses from different retailers. The video above showcases the Gamestop exclusive pre-order bonus which is The “Explosive Mission Pack” including an additional mission, a grenade launcher, remote-detonated explosives and an automatic unlocking device which I’m not sure what the hell that is.

Of course it isn’t that simple with other retailers giving you a different pre-order bonus called the “Tactical Enhancement Pack” including a double-barrel shotgun and a sniper rifle. That promotional video can be seen above. Have fun picking… those unfair bastards, why can’t we just have it all?

Dues Ex: Human Revolution game designer Jean Francois Dugas says the game has not been ‘consolified’ at all, meaning that it hasn’t been toned down to cater to the console audienced. What does he mean, console games aren’t complex? It that what you mean, Jean? EH?! We want answers!

In an interview with gaming magezine PSM3, when asked if the game would be toned down due to the fact that it was releasing on consoles as well, Dugas said. “Absolutely not. I think PC is a great platform, but I think consoles are a great platform, too.”

“Back in the ’90s, games on the two platforms were very different, but I think these days it’s all about bringing things together – movies, TV, music – they’re all converging in the same places for everyone to access. I see it as convergence, and it’s the same for games. We didn’t think, ‘Oh, it’s coming to console; it has to be easy,'” he continued.

“We can have a very deep experience, but it’s important that if you want to just jump in to it, you can jump in to it. It’s not about removing complexity or cutting possibilities: it’s about the way the complexity is introduced,” he concluded.

When asked what he planned to do with the series after such a long interem between the last Dues Ex game and the upcoming game, he said: “We just went in and went back to the first two games, saw what was working well and analysed what would keep the essence of Deus Ex alive but at the same time fit a modern, global audience.”

We will bring you more news on Human Revolution as it comes our way, and maybe even a preview. Stay tuned.
