Fulgrim for Warmaster 2014. That is all.

Sorry if I go off on a fanboy gushing session on this one folks. The Creative Assembly have announced their plans to reveal the next entry into the hugely popular, multi award winning series of TOTAL WAR real time strategy video games. The reveal will be coming exclusively from the show floor of EGX which is being hosted in London’s Earl’s Court.

This is huge and important for a few reasons so bear with me. The Creative Assembly just announced their free upgrade for TOTAL WAR: Rome II which brings all the Free DLC to the game in one place, plus Patch 15 and a brand new campaign into one package called the Imperator Augusts Campaign Pack.

On top of that they are also working on the hugely anticipated (but somewhat controversial) ALIEN: Isolation which recently raised some eyebrows with it’s strange DLC and Pre-order arrangements. But this is where the hype train starts to pick up speed.

When THQ closed their doors and auctioned of their assets and other goodies, one of the things that was up for grabs was Relic Entertainment and the Warhammer 40K franchise. Now, The Creative Assembly has extensive experience in the real time strategy market and they are also a subsidiary of Sega. Sega reportedly had the highest bid in the auction which means we may well see The Creative Assembly use certain Dawn of War mechanics in their next Total War game.

I’m not saying that’s what’s going to happen. But if it does, I called it.

Deep Silver, keeping zombie slaying fresh.

That crazy bunch of folks over at Deep Silver are going to be bringing down a storm of pure, unfettered awesome this year when they arrive at EGX, just you mark my words. Mark ’em well.

Taking place at Londons Earls Court over the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th of September, the UK’s biggest video game show will be graced with Dead Island 2, Escape Dead Island, Metro Redux, Sacred 3 andSherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments when Deep Silver take to the floor with playable Demo’s of all these games. No hand holding guided tours from PR reps here, so rejoice!

Personally I think the most notable attraction of this showing is Dead Island 2, and not just because of that sick trailer. The game will be playable a very long time ahead of its current 2015 release window, so attendees will be some of the lucky few who get to see the game and get their hands on it well before anyone else. Which, like I already said, is awesome. Come and see more Metro Redux in all it’s post apocalyptic glory, come and see Sherlock solve crimes like no other with his unrivalled mind. But most importantly, come and kill Zombies.

Xbox exclusives dominate the list.

The biggest general games show in the United Kingdom, the EGX, will be held this year in London from September 25 to September 28 at the Earl’s Court. And now, just a little over two and a half months before the show begins, the official website has updated, giving us the list of the games that will be playable on the show floor.

It’s a pretty impressive list, and the allure of playing some of the biggest upcoming games for themselves should attract many a footfall to the expo. The list of the games in the general area includes Alien Isolation, Battlefield Hardline, Forza Horizon 2, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Destiny, Evolve, Fable Legends, Nosgoth, Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, and War Thunder.

Yeah, that’s definitely a Microsoft oriented list, but considering just how hard Microsoft have been trying to push the Xbox One in the UK, it’s really not that much of a surprise now, is it?

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more from the show floor.
