BF4 streamers are reporting an exploit that crashes Commander-enabled servers.

Battlefield 4 apparently still isn’t safe from problems – it now seems that servers with Commanders enabled are security exploits on the PC version. The exploiter in question essentially causes the message “No free Commander slots” to appear on-screen before all players are kicked. The server then crashes soon after – telltale signs include high amounts of lag or rubber-banding.

This was reported by Battlefield 4 YouTube user Xfactor Gaming, and has apparently been experienced by other streamers. While it’s not clear whether it’s for all servers or simply the ones where well-known players are located, but it’s a severe exploit nonetheless. Xfactor was also reportedly hit with messages that claimed responsibility for the attacks and which stated that they’re targeted.

Take that for what you will. Or just go play Titanfall. Either way, let us know in the comments whether you’ve experienced issues with the Commander mode, especially regarding servers crashing and no free slots being available.

Can't access multiplayer? Here are two temporary fixes for you.

Battlefield 4 on the PlayStation 4 has been facing a pretty serious error with multiplayer since release, manifesting in the form of “CE-34878-0 Error” splayed across the screen. However, there are two ways to fix this.

The first way is to ensure that Battlefield 4 is currently on. Go to your Settings and sign out of PSN. Start up Battlefield 4, and when you reach the main menu, hit the PlayStation button to log into PSN. Once you’re online, start multiplayer and get in a few rounds until the error pops up. Wash, rinse and repeat, unfortunately. The benefit of this is that at least you’ll be able to access multiplayer. The CE-34878-0 Error originally just threw you back to the main menu without being able to play anything.

Another way? Just keep hitting the X button and rush to the multiplayer mode before the error has a chance to show up. Will DICE find a way to fix this and figure out to keep it from apparently affecting the single-player as well? We’ll find out in the coming weeks, and hopefully it won’t appear on the Xbox One version when it releases on November 22nd.

Microsoft has released a statement apologising for an incorrect email that stated Crackdown 2’s release as being this June.

Apparently the time frame given for the game was wrong; here is the full email explaning:

Today you received an email on Xbox 360’s January NPD results, and we’d like to make a clarification.

We have not announced a launch date for “Crackdown 2″ and the time frame listed in the mail was incorrect. Please look for an announcement on this title at a later date.

Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

So the Big M got it wrong. No Crackdown 2 in June.
