There are mini-games for Joy-Cons supporting two to eight players and some playable with Smart Devices for up to 100 players.

A new trailer is available for Nintendo’s Everybody 1-2-Switch!, the follow-up to 1-2-Switch!, which features support for up to 100 players. The company has helpfully outlined each of its 17 mini-games and the different control schemes used. Check it out below.

Mini-games exclusive to Joy-Cons include Samurai Sword Fight, Balloons, Relay Race, Hip Bump and Joy-Con Hide-and-Seek. For Smart Devices, there’s Auction, Bingo, Color Shoot and Ice Cream Parlor. Finally, for mini-games controlled with Joy-Cons or Smart Devices, you get Quiz Show, Ninjas, UFOs, Squats, Kitchen Timer, Statues, Jump Rope and Musical Chairs.

Overall, there’s a healthy amount of variety with support for two to eight players in Joy-Con Mode. Everybody 1-2-Switch! releases on June 30th for Nintendo Switch. It was rumored last year and reportedly faced an overwhelmingly negative reception from playtesters. Whether the extra time has helped remains to be seen, so stay tuned for more details before its release.

Nintendo outlines the party game's various mini-games and features ahead of its launch on June 30th for Nintendo Switch.

Following its impromptu announcement of Everybody 1-2-Switch!, rumored to be cancelled after poor internal feedback, Nintendo has released a new trailer and details for the party title. It’s out on June 30th for Nintendo Switch and retails for $29.99.

Everybody 1-2-Switch! has a range of mini-games and challenges, like Color Shoot for taking photos in the real world to match the color in-game. Balloons has a team pumping a balloon as much as possible without it bursting, and Ice Cream Parlor, where teams work together to manage orders of ice cream.

Other mini-games include Bingo Party and Quiz Show, and you can experience different variations and change the rules. In addition to supporting two to eight players in Joy-Con Mode, there’s also Smart Device mode which allows up to 100 players. It’s intriguing if nothing else, but we’ll have to wait and see how it pans out. Stay tuned in the coming weeks.

The local multiplayer game is available to pre-order on the eShop for $29.99, and appears to be the rumored sequel to 1-2-Switch.

Out of nowhere, Nintendo has announced Everybody 1-2-Switch! It launches on June 30th for Nintendo Switch, and like 1-2-Switch, it’s a local multiplayer game meant for parties. You can pre-order it now on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99.

Oddly enough, Nintendo didn’t specify which games are included (aside from some that feature balloons and aliens). Some of them have variations with rule changes and additional challenges, so there’s that. It weighs 3.3 GB and supports both Joy-Con controllers and other smart devices.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the rumored sequel to 1-2-Switch (called Everybody’s 1-2-Switch) that was in development limbo. It was meant for up to 100 players and involved using phones. Even the anthropomorphized horse, who serves as the host, has carried over. So what’s the problem?

The response from playtesters was reportedly “overwhelmingly negative,” to the extent that even families and kids, the alleged target audience, called it “boring” and its games “tedious.” Time will tell how it’s changed, so stay tuned for more details.
