Now murder things with your eyes like a boss.

Remember when Sony was showing off its special eye tracking hardware/software at the official launch of the PlayStation 4 and promised a future where you’d be able to control the game with your eyes? Developer SensoMotoric Instruments was present at GDC 2014 and pretty much demonstrated the set-up to attendees with a special version of inFamous: Second Son that could be controlled with one’s eyes.

Interestingly, the eye-tracking set up comes from the same team that created Project Morpheus, Sony’s VR headset, the PS Eye and the PS Move. Reactions are apparently quick and accurate, though there are some issues with turning a full 180 degrees. You can also use the DualShock controller along with eye-tracking in case you’re having trouble hurling projectiles at your enemies in Second Son.

Sony’s Eric Larsen even mentioned that the eye-tracking set up could be implemented into Morpheus if the components were made smaller and cheaply enough. Thoughts on the tech? Let us know in the comments.
