We look at the bad and the ugly of the E3 expo.

The Electronics Entertainment Expo is one of the most high profile entertainment events of the year, bringing all the big gaming announcements to us in a lavish fashion every July. That said, it’s not always awesome gameplay demos and good speeches.

It’s not even always about games in the case of Microsoft’s misguided decision to bring Usher on stage, but more on that fiasco later. Indeed, sometimes E3 just gets weird, and we thought it would be worth bringing together some of the expos most amusing moments for your reading pleasure. Let’s just hope we don’t jinx it and wind up seeing any colossal fails at this year’s show.

Need a spring in your step? Check out these ten hilarious gravity fails.

There were simpler times in gaming when physics engines were largely infallible. When the only physics calculations revolved around how high Mario can jump or the trajectory of a ball after hitting the paddle in breakout, there wasn’t really that much margin for error. Now we have big open worlds, crazy amounts of weapons and semi-realistic 3D environments, all kinds of physics glitches come into play.

The biggest issue seems to be in how gravity is handled, with plenty of titles giving a very loose interpretation of the earth’s gravitational pull from time to time. Check out ten of our favourite examples of faulty gravity.
