<p>The next wave of Game Pass <a href="https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2025/07/15/xbox-game-pass-july-2025-wave-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">begins now</a> with Squanch Games&#8217; <em>High on Life</em> returning to the service today. It&#8217;s available on Game Pass Ultimate, Standard and PC Game Pass for cloud, consoles and PC.</p>



<p><em>RoboCop: Rogue City</em> is next up on July 17th for the same, just in time for the <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/robocop-rogue-city-unfinished-business-launches-on-july-17th" data-type="post" data-id="617703"><em>Unfinished Business</em> DLC</a>. It&#8217;s joined by Saturday morning cartoon horror title <em>My Friendly Neighborhood</em> (available on Ultimate and PC Game Pass). July 18th marks the arrival of <em>Back to the Dawn</em>, a role-playing game focused on escaping from prison.</p>



<p>On July 22nd, Deep Field Games&#8217; <em>Abiotic Factor</em> joins the fray for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. It will be <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/abiotic-factor-exits-early-access-on-july-22nd-also-coming-to-ps5-and-xbox-series-x-s" data-type="post" data-id="622977">exiting early access on the same day</a> (and also available for <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/cyberpunk-2077-is-available-on-ps-plus-extra-premium-today" data-type="post" data-id="623731">PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscribers</a>).</p>



<p><em>Nidhogg </em>developer Messhof Games delivers something notably less bizarre with <em>Wheel World </em>on July 23rd, followed by Leenzee&#8217;s <em>Wuchang: Fallen Feathers</em> on July 24th. Capping off the month is <em>Grounded 2,</em> launching on July 29th into Game Preview, with <em>Farming Simulator 25</em> starting August with a bang.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class="bigchar">W</span>ith every game that launches and meets (or surpasses) expectations, there will always be several other titles that fall short. They could have the most extensive marketing budget, the sharpest visuals or the biggest IP behind them – things just don&#8217;t come together in a compelling, much less enjoyable way. Of course, other titles could disappoint simply due to trends and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Regardless, here are our 15 picks for the most disappointing games of 2024.</p>
<p><strong>Star Wars Outlaws</strong></p>
<p>As iffy as certain things looked before launch, there was still some hope for <em>Star Wars Outlaws</em> from Massive Entertainment&#8217;s involvement alone. The Reputation and Wanted system, more organic exploration, and focus on single-player were all the right moves, but it didn&#8217;t land for consumers. Those who took the plunge suffered numerous bugs and issues with movement, combat, AI, stealth, and so on. It&#8217;s a better game now, but <em>Outlaws</em> still needs work.</p>
<p><strong>Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League</strong></p>

<p>Even with successes like <em>Helldivers 2</em>, this year just wasn&#8217;t it for live-service titles. However, the negative response to <em>Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League</em> began well prior, with many criticizing the looter shooter&#8217;s format. The release sadly did nothing to rise to the occasion, featuring a horrendous story that falls off a cliff, insufferable characters, and the same dreary games-as-a-service mission structure seen hundreds of times before. With a $200 million impact on Warner Bros. Discovery&#8217;s revenue, <em>Suicide Squad</em> clearly didn&#8217;t meet expectations.</p>
<p><strong>Skull and Bones</strong></p>
<p>Alleged reboots, high-profile departures, constant delays, and a ballooning budget – Ubisoft&#8217;s <em>Skull and Bones</em> had all the key ingredients for a potential disaster. Adding in all the live-service staples like seasons, always-online gameplay, a focus on multiplayer, and whatnot hastened the game&#8217;s doom (calling it a quadruple-A title also didn&#8217;t help). With player numbers reportedly coming in at less than a million around launch, it was a failure before it even got started.</p>
<p><strong>Planet Coaster 2</strong></p>

<p>Incredible visuals and the studio&#8217;s penchant for attention to detail did little to make a difference for <em>Planet Coaster 2</em>, which is, by all accounts, a hotly awaited sequel, that much more palatable. The awful UI, pathing issues, lackluster pools, awful characters and various bugs were just too significant to ignore, even with the better campaign. Frontier has rolled out improvements, and it will likely excel in the long run, but for now, <em>Planet Coaster 2</em> is an underwhelming ride.</p>
<p><strong>Farming Simulator 25</strong></p>

<p>After the failure of <em>Farming Simulator 23</em> (at least on Nintendo Switch),<em> Farming Simulator 25</em> marked a return for the franchise to consoles and PC. It shipped with extensive bugs, an annoying user interface, jarring physics, and multitudes of other issues that remain. That&#8217;s on top of the unoptimized performance on PC, which hinders the otherwise strong environmental effects and textures. Mods will likely make it a better experience over time but at this point, fans would appreciate a strong title out of the gate (which certainly applies to our next choice).</p>
<p><strong>Starfield: Shattered Space</strong></p>

<p><em>Starfield</em> had its share of mixed impressions after launching last year and <em>Shattered Space</em> seemed like the perfect opportunity to address many issues while offering a fresh slate. However, the hand-crafted planet of Var&#8217;uun&#8217;kai delivered the most rudimentary content and barren surroundings to go with lackluster characters and story-telling. Even the intriguing gravity anomalies barely appear after a point.</p>
<p><strong>A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead</strong></p>

<p>I was excited about Stormind Games&#8217; first-person horror, especially with how it leveraged the films and their mechanics. Unfortunately, <em>A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead</em> is a hugely linear, highly scripted experience with bizarre AI, questionable design decisions, and a predictable story that fails to really leverage its endearing characters.</p>
<p><strong>Concord</strong></p>

<p>Sony&#8217;s biggest first-party failure in years, <em>Concord</em> was seemingly doomed from its first proper reveal, especially when the hero shooter elements became apparent. After a beta with abysmal numbers, it would launch to middling reviews and reportedly sold only 25,000 copies. Sony initially pulled the title from sale and shut down servers before eventually shuttering it and Firewalk Studio.</p>
<p><strong>Rise of the Ronin</strong></p>

<p>Director Fumihiko Yasuda revealed around June that <em>Rise of the Ronin</em> was Koei Tecmo&#8217;s best-selling game so far, with the publisher even reporting higher sales than<em> Nioh</em>. That&#8217;s all great, but the game itself fell short of what we expected in terms of open-world activities and storytelling. At least the combat remains enjoyable, and Team Ninja has provided some extensive post-launch content for free.</p>
<p><strong>Dragon Age: The Veilguard</strong></p>

<p>The first <em>Dragon Age</em> title in ten years was bound to have astronomical expectations, especially with all the rumors and reports of reboots. Combat was sharp despite pivoting to a real-time hack-and-slash approach and the environments are gorgeous, without a doubt. It&#8217;s everything else that either whelmed or disappointed, from the uneven characterization and writing to the mission structure. Though it wasn&#8217;t BioWare&#8217;s worst, it&#8217;s far from being its best.</p>
<p><strong>Call of Duty: Black Ops 6</strong></p>

<p>Significant improvements over last year&#8217;s game don&#8217;t excuse <em>Call of Duty: Black Ops 6</em> from disappointing in other ways. Despite a superior campaign, its story ultimately felt flat (and continued the same cliffhanger approach), while multiplayer fell short with its map design. Zombies is surprisingly good despite some balance issues, and while the overall experience classifies as “good,” it&#8217;s nowhere near the series&#8217; heights.</p>
<p><strong>Unknown 9: Awakening</strong></p>

<p>There&#8217;s always some skepticism when a developer gets ahead itself and plans out an entire universe for its IP before the first game even launches. Unfortunately, <em>Unknown 9: Awakening</em> loaded its bland premise with dull writing and boring combat, while various bugs and performance issues weighed even heavier. Suffice it to say that with an all-time peak concurrent player count of 285 on Steam at launch, <em>Unknown 9: Awakening</em> failed to meet any expectations heaped on it.</p>
<p><strong>MultiVersus</strong></p>

<p>From promising platform fighter to being pulled and relaunching earlier this year in a worse form, <em>MultiVersus</em> has had quite the journey. It&#8217;s hard to pinpoint all the issues, be it the sheer lack of quality-of-life features at launch or how underwhelming Rifts felt after they finally went live, but above all else, the feel and fluidity from the open beta felt like it was missing. And unfortunately, Player First Games hasn&#8217;t been able to capture the magic ever since.</p>
<p><strong>XDefiant</strong></p>

<p>Initially revealed as part of the<em> Tom Clancy</em> series,<em> XDefiant</em> would become a standalone entity while still crossing over with the publisher&#8217;s various other titles. However, despite some responsive shooting, it couldn&#8217;t match the features and content of other free-to-play shooters at launch. Various issues like network performance also affected it, causing a sharp downturn. Maybe there&#8217;s still time to right the ship, but based on the company&#8217;s other live-service endeavors, <em>XDefiant&#8217;s</em> days could be numbered.</p>
<p><strong>Outcast: A New Beginning</strong></p>

<p>Developing a sequel to a niche title from the late 90s is unusual on its own, but perhaps <em>Outcast: The New Beginning</em> could cater to long-time fans. What it offered was a massive world with nothing exciting, loading up players with menial tasks and awful writing. Appealing as it may be for those seeking more old-school-style titles,<em> A New Beginning</em> felt more like an awkward continuation for a cult-classic series.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class="bigchar">O</span>ver the past several years, I&#8217;ve been gone from confusingly amused at <em>Farming Simulator</em> to quietly respecting it. Sure, games like <em>Stardew Valley</em> and <em>Core Keeper</em> snatched several hours from me for their farming excesses, but Giants Software&#8217;s franchise is on a whole other level. The utter dedication and attention to detail to real-world farming methods, machines and processes; the ability to build up and manage production supply chains, going from a one-man operation to a full-fledged tycoon. Even if the idea of an esports league baffles me, there&#8217;s no denying the franchise&#8217;s success.</p>
<p>Yet, in recent years, Giants Software has been somewhat floundering. <em>Farming Simulator 23</em> initially launched last year for iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, and to say it was a disaster on the console would be an understatement. We&#8217;re now at <em>Farming Simulator 25</em>, skipping a year in its naming and previous-gen platforms while embracing a console (and PC) first release. With so much hype and anticipation, the results could have been better.</p>

<p>Career Mode is where you&#8217;ll cut your teeth, with starting options that range from inheriting a pre-established farm to building your own from scratch. You can also adjust the starting and loan money, the difficulty, and the type of farmstead, specifically North American, Central European, or East Asian. They feel more scenic than anything else, though the differing available stores and properties help mix things up (depending on your settings).</p>
<p>Unfortunately, whether you start from scratch or inherit a farm, you&#8217;ll be brought face to face with Walter, the grandfather of the “protagonist.” There isn&#8217;t a plot to speak of in <em>Farming Simulator 25</em>, but there are NPCs to interact with, and each has their own share of horrid dialogue. Walter&#8217;s main schtick is that his son (aka your father) wouldn&#8217;t inherit the farm, but he&#8217;s happy you&#8217;re around. Get used to hearing “kiddo”, though, and more than a few passive-aggressive digs. The unnatural and stilted voice acting makes it all the worse.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not just Walter either – even the likes of Tom have their own lame “jokes” to insert here and there. Does it completely break the experience? No, and you can limit your interactions with them as much as necessary, but it&#8217;s still annoying. Also, the tutorials past the initial farm tour aren&#8217;t helpful. Those wanting to learn anything beyond planting canola and harvesting wheat will have to remember each step of Tom&#8217;s guidance, that too, without potentially knowing what some of the required vehicles are. Walter saying I should check out <em>Farming Simulator</em> Academy, a series of official YouTube tutorials, instead of offering useful advice beyond ye olde farmer&#8217;s wisdom, doesn&#8217;t help.</p>

Credit where it&#8217;s due to Giants, as each machine feels great to control.</p>

<p>The Challenger MT635 is fast and highly maneuverable, making it great for transporting grains while the Massey Fergusson MF8570 is powerful and weighty, further reinforcing the task of methodically harvesting. Their movement each feels realistic and not too awkward, even if the physics can feel odd at times (don&#8217;t get your 980 stuck on a barn door, lest the immersion comes tumbling down).</p>
<p>Each crop also has different planting and harvesting seasons, which you need to account for lest a decent chunk of canola withers mid-harvest as it did for me. Their characteristics also present some intriguing options for your business – sugarcane, for example, grows back after a harvest and only requires harvesting every now and again but is otherwise low in demand. There are also new crops like rice, which require flooded fields and different methods to harvest them. Some crops may not fetch as high of a price during some seasons as others and thus require storing in silos until the time is right.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll also have to deal with other facets like animal husbandry, forestry, liming (which helps increase the yield), and contracts. Contracts offer different farming jobs to complete for cash. You can use your equipment and or lease out some, which reduces the overall payout from the job. The problem is that the latter scales oddly with the total reward and work required. You could receive a flat loss of 519 Euros, never mind if the contract pays 1800 Euros contract or 4500. A contract which differs only slightly in field size could charge more for the lease despite only offering a bit higher. There is a wider variety of contracts than previous titles, but they need serious rebalancing.</p>
<p>The map is fairly sizable, offering properties to purchase and different types of farms to further your business (though it also feels strangely devoid of human life at times, outside of the occasional cars and buses). It&#8217;s a lot to initially handle, though AI workers are available to lighten the load and take care of tasks while you&#8217;re busy with something else. That is, when they work and don&#8217;t leave jobs half-finished, an issue which thankfully has happened only once.</p>

<p>The other major hurdle is the user interface, which doesn&#8217;t feel very intuitive. Going through multiple tabs to check vehicles or other important information gets tiring, and it&#8217;s hindered even more by how the information is laid out (and that&#8217;s only a handful of issues). It&#8217;s not a complete deal-breaker, but it feels cumbersome and only adds to the list of problems.</p>
<p><em>Farming Simulator 25&#8217;s</em> big claim to fame, at least over previous entries, is its visuals. Ignoring the facial animations of NPCs, which remain stilted and placid regardless of emotions, this is a great-looking game. Each of the machines is immaculately rendered and animates great. The terrain, surrounding foliage, fog, and other effects also add to the atmosphere. However, the sound design is equally amazing, and not just when it comes to the different equipment. Even the ambient noise, like the birds chirping, accentuates the experience. If there was ever any title that really captured that feeling of farm life – waking up at the break of dawn, breathing in the clean (and likely manure-stained) air – it&#8217;s this.</p>
<p>However, taking it all in is a challenge right now, thanks to the horrendous optimization. Going with Very High settings, increased FOV, and DLAA on PC resulted in constant stuttering, so I dialled things back to High and went with regular TAA. The stuttering reduced over time, but there were still frame drops, especially when shifting to a third-person perspective for the first time.</p>
<p>Other annoyances like object pop-in and incessant flickering also brought the experience down. Then you have gameplay-affecting issues with textures not rendering properly making it hard to judge if a spot of land has been cultivated or sowed. I haven&#8217;t experienced crashes like some other players, but suffice it to say that the game&#8217;s technical state leaves much to be desired (that too several days post-launch).</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a shame because even if <em>Farming Simulator 25</em> isn&#8217;t reinventing the wheel or adding tons of new systems, it&#8217;s a solid experience for those who want to delve into farming. Nevertheless, the technical issues, performance, annoying UI, AI workers, and other odd design decisions make it difficult to recommend in its current state to all but the hardest of the hardcore fans.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <em>Farming Simulator </em>series obviously appeals to a very specific audience, but it&#8217;s a sizeable audience nonetheless, and one that remains consistently engaged with developer Giants Software&#8217;s offerings. Now, the series&#8217; newest outing has released, and the developer, in turn, has released a new trailer to commemorate its launch. Check it out below. </p>
<p>Coming three years after the series&#8217; previous instalment, <em>Farming Simulator 25 </em>promises a number of improvements and expansions on top of the established formula. East Asia is a newly added location, bringing with it major new features in the form of animal husbandry, forestry, and even rice paddies, with the latter being built around new ground deformation mechanics. That is, of course, on top of a number of iterative improvements on the technological, visual, and gameplay fronts.</p>

<p><strong>It&#8217;s been a while since the last entry in the <em>Farming Simulator</em> series. What are the biggest gameplay or technological leaps that made the development team decide that this was the year to release another new instalment?</strong></p>
<p>Since its first inception in the late 2000s, <em>Farming Simulator</em> has been continuously improved – not necessarily because we wanted to follow the latest technological trends, but mainly because we strive to make the best simulation title possible. Our goal was to make the best use of the existing technology to improve our players’ gameplay experience.</p>
<p>The GIANTS Engine as it is implemented in <em>Farming Simulator</em> deals with a ton of different gameplay elements. It’s not only the realistic visuals of the machines and the environment, the authentic sounds, but also all the crop-related information, the in-game economy, animal and NPC behavior. Essentially, we can say that our decision to release a new installment was less driven by technological factors but more by our wish to add new gameplay features and improve on the simulation aspects: Creating a successor to the acclaimed <em>Farming Simulator 22</em>, which was released in 2021.</p>
<p>Of course, technological progress has made it much easier to create a more realistic, life-like world for our players to enjoy. The increased performance of the current generation platforms makes it easier to work with more complex shaders, make use of native functionality and in general allows us to run more extensive simulations.</p>
<p><strong><em>Farming Simulator</em> <em>25</em> is set to introduce a new location in the form of East Asia. What are the biggest gameplay changes and additions that players can expect from it?</strong></p>
<p>Like said before, the main driving factor in our development is to create a more realistic simulation of real-world farming. This means that for the <em>Farming Simulator</em> series we focus first and foremost on the different aspects of agriculture and related fields (pun intended) like animal husbandry and forestry.</p>
<p>One feature our players were asking for is ground deformation. In reality tractors compact the soil beneath their tires, especially when the ground is wet. Similarly plows break up the ground and make it uneven to drive across it. When we started working on this, it became clear that it would allow us to also create rice paddies as a new feature – which in turn led us to create the East Asian map.</p>
<p>As it is the first realization of the new feature, we created a map that is a colorful pastiche of East Asian landscapes and settings. There are classical and modern set pieces to demonstrate the potential the upgraded GIANTS Engine offers.</p>
<p><strong><em>Farming Simulator 25</em> is also promising significant additions to the series&#8217; roster of crops, animals, machinery, and more. When working on a new entry, what&#8217;s the process of deciding on which of these new introductions should and shouldn&#8217;t make it in? What kind of a balance do you seek to strike between fun and authenticity?</strong></p>
<p>That is a tough question – especially because authentically simulating machines, animal behavior and crop cycles are the fun bit of <em>Farming Simulator</em>. The balance we need to find is between how authentic can we be while at the same time not going overboard with the technological cost. So, sometimes we need to cut corners in regards to authenticity – as we want <em>Farming Simulator</em> to be a relaxing, stress-free experience for everyone.</p>

<p><strong>What are the biggest upgrades that you&#8217;ve made to your engine for <em>Farming Simulator 25&#8217;s</em> development?</strong></p>
<p>Our engine got a pretty big overhaul since the last iteration of the game. The graphics part includes such important upgrades like non-uniform density and dynamic fog; volumetric lighting; dynamic, soft shadows; improved materials systems that react to environmental effects; decals on terrain and machine surfaces (e.g. mud splatter); interactive water simulation and reflections; higher terrain resolution and improved terrain mapping that now influences the driving physics; more detailed NPC; we reduced the size of meshes through compression, freeing up valuable slot space for mods on consoles; and most of all, we were able to increase the performance of several subsystems…</p>
<p>As you can see, the world now looks even more realistic while at the same time giving us the leeway to add more, cool gameplay and comfort features for the players to appreciate and the modder to work with, like the materials system, different lighting set-ups on machines, higher detailed machine animations, working vehicle dashboards, emissive light maps, things like that.</p>
<p><strong>What was behind the decision to not release <em>Farming Simulator 25</em> as a cross-gen title?</strong></p>
<p>With all the changes we made, we reached a certain point where, despite our best efforts to optimize the engine, it became no longer viable to try to be downwards compatible. The performance boost the PS5 and Xbox Series models offer over the PS4 and Xbox One consoles is significant, that is why we were able to implement the new lighting system and the other upgrades. This would not have been the case if we had to restrict ourselves to machines that are now more than ten years old and offer less performance.</p>
<p>That is why we decided to drop the previous console generation and focus on the current and next-gen models.</p>
<p>While that may come as a disappointment for users of these devices, technology has moved on and to make the best possible <em>Farming Simulator</em>, we needed to make a cut and move on.</p>
<p><strong>Do you have any plans to bring the game to also bring the game to the Switch, or perhaps its upcoming successor, down the road?</strong></p>
<p>For the time being we are fully committed to working on <em>Farming Simulator 25</em>. We may in the future, once work on the current version is done, look at a new version for mobile platforms. But nothing we can speak about today.</p>

<p><strong>Given that you have experience working with all the current-gen consoles, I was hoping to pick your brain on some of the differences between them. For instance, where their GPUs are concerned, the PS5 clocks in at 10.28 teraflops, behind the Xbox Series X&#8217;s 12 teraflops. In real terms, however, how much of an impact does that difference have during development?</strong></p>
<p>We want to maximize the gameplay experience for all players no matter what platform they are on – with of course the caveat that older generations do considerably lack the power for the modern visuals and simulation depth we strive for.</p>
<p><strong>What frame rate and resolution will the game target on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?</strong></p>
<p>We expect a smooth game experience with 30fps, and a render resolution of ca 3k x 1.6k on PS5 and Series X, with an upscaling to 4k.</p>

<p><strong>Planet Coaster 2</strong></p>

<p>It&#8217;s almost bizarre that it took this long for Frontier&#8217;s <em>Planet Coaster</em> to receive a sequel, especially given its success and acclaim. <em>Planet Coaster 2</em> launches on November 6th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and once again has players building and managing a theme park. The twist is the addition of water attractions and rides, including water coasters, slides, and rivers. Everything is customizable, and your creations can be shared online with other players. You can also team up with others to create a park together or explore in first person as a visitor.</p>
<p><strong>Empire of the Ants</strong></p>

<p>Microids&#8217; <em>Empire of the Ants</em> offers a real-time strategy experience at a decidedly smaller scale. Despite this, the overarching goal of your colony remains the same &#8211; survival and strategic domination. Throughout the 20-hour campaign, you&#8217;ll opt for different unit types (including other species like Snails and Rhino Beetles), unleash abilities, manage a war economy, and more. There&#8217;s also multiplayer three-player free-for-all and 1v1 ranked play.</p>
<p><strong>Mario and Luigi: Brothership</strong></p>

<p>The brothers find themselves exploring the world of Concordia, composed of multiple islands with different residents, climates, and challenges.</p>
<p>Utilizing Shipshape Island, a ship/island hybrid, to get around, Mario and Luigi also rely on different traversal techniques for platforming when they&#8217;re not relying on timing-based Bros. Attacks and Battle Plugs to conquer enemies. Launching on November 7th for Nintendo Switch, <em>Brothership</em> looks to be yet another incredible addition to the Switch&#8217;s hallowed line-up.</p>
<p><strong>Slitterhead</strong></p>

<p>From the mind of <em>Silent Hill</em> creator Keiichiro Toyama and Bokeh Game Studio comes an unorthodox action-adventure set in Kowlong. Players control Hyoki, an amnesiac entity committed to defeating the Slitterheads, monstrous beings who can mimic humans. Hyoki&#8217;s main means of fighting is possession, taking over other beings and using their blood to create weapons.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also great for getting around and accessing different parts of the city (depending on the host&#8217;s identity). Overall, it&#8217;s a significant departure from Toyama&#8217;s previous works, and we&#8217;re keen to see more when it launches on November 8th for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.</p>

Featuring the HD-2D visual style, the story sees the protagonist, child of the great Ortega, embarking on a journey to defeat Baramos, the Archfiend.</p>
<p>Recruiting allies with customizable appearances and vocations, players can explore the world, engage in side quests, venture into dungeons, and even rescue monsters for battling in the new Monster Arena. There&#8217;s also a new Vocation, the Monster Wrangler, and quality-of-life features, like combat orders, which make for a more approachable experience.</p>
<p><strong>LEGO Horizon Adventures</strong></p>

In that case, Studio Gobo&#8217;s <em>LEGO Horizon Adventures</em> has you covered. It carries the charm and light-hearted atmosphere that the Lego series is known for, downplaying some of <em>Zero Dawn&#8217;s</em> darker elements in the process.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll still play as Aloy in search of her mother, solo or teaming with other characters like Varl in an action-adventure (and not a beat &#8217;em up where you&#8217;ll collect Studs like other <em>Lego</em> titles). It&#8217;s an odd ask, to be sure, but <em>LEGO Horizon Adventures</em> could surprise us when it launches on November 14th for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.</p>

Developed again by Asobo Studio, <em>Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024</em> launches on November 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Thus far, it looks like a staggering effort that builds upon its predecessor while completely blowing it out of the water.</p>
<p>A new Career System where you take tests, learn everything there is to know and then embark on different mission types, from commercial flights and rescue missions to escorting VIPs. There are new aircraft and avionics systems to master, a new flight planner with IFR charts and route planning, over 150 hand-crafted airports (alongside 40,000 procedurally generated airports); and 27 biomes that you can explore on foot. The original is one of the biggest games in scale, but <em>Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024</em> could very well dethrone it.</p>

After multiple years of delays, to say nothing of the real-world challenges that GSC Game World endured, it&#8217;s finally launching on November 20th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. As Skif, players enter the Zone and pretty much have full reign if they can survive.</p>
<p>They&#8217;ll encounter other factions, both friendly and hostile, battle mutants, discover Artifacts, and have one too many run-ins with environment-altering Anomalies. The world is seamless, fully hand-crafted and teeming with secrets, which the developer says will necessitate over 100 hours to discover. There&#8217;s a lot of hype and expectations on <em>S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2</em>, and in just a few weeks, we&#8217;ll see if it finally delivers.</p>

<p>It even includes <em>Tetris Time Warp</em>, a brand-new title where players warp between different eras of <em>Tetris</em> in a single game, playable solo and with three other people. Presenting sleek animated visuals, players learn more about Yi, the nature of New Kunlun and unlock abilities to access new areas. If you&#8217;re a fan of challenging combat or action platforms in general, it&#8217;s worth a look.</p>

<p>“Fantasy building with a mix of open-world exploration and restoration” describes <em>Towers of Aghasba</em>, which enters early access on November 19th for PS5 and PC. Inspired by films like <em>Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind</em> and <em>Princess Mononoke,</em> it sees players building a new city for their people while venturing into the world to cleanse a mysterious corruption.</p>
<p>Early access features three ecosystems and town types, more than 40 creatures, over 120 plants, and 150 recipes for decorations. You can go it alone or play with up to three other players, engaging in combat, farming, fishing or discovering ancient ruins. If its gameplay can live up to the gorgeous aesthetic, then <em>Towers of Aghasba</em> could end up as yet another hallmark open-world sandbox crafting title.</p>
