EA Sports’ FIFA 15 has been a massive success for the publisher since releasing in late 2014 and it’s now available on EA Access for all subscribers.

Being added to the Vault in EA Access means that it will remain there forever and players can access it any time as long as they have an active subscription. Though Access faced some skepticism in the beginning, it’s since amassed an impressive array of titles including Battlefield 4, Need for Speed Rivals, EA Sports UFC, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Madden 15 and NBA Live 15.

EA Access is currently exclusive to the Xbox One and costs $5 per month with a year long subscription costing $30. Along with games, it adds a ton of interesting discounts, early access to trials of games before their worldwide releases and much more.

What are your thoughts on FIFA 15 being added to EA Access? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.

Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline is still the top selling game across all platforms in the UK according to the latest Gfk Chart-Track data. It’s interesting when you consider that there was a 56 percent drop in sales from the previous week.

EA’s FIFA 15 is second place, pushing ahead of Grand Theft Auto 5 which is in third place this week. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare fell to fifth place with Far Cry 4 at fourth place. Sony’s Bloodborne, despite a strong debut against Battlefield: Hardline, is now in sixth place. Interestingly, Forza Horizon 2 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection figures among the top ten in seventh and ninth place respectively.

The recently released Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is in eighth place with Minecraft: Xbox Edition in tenth place. Mortal Kombat X and Grand Theft Auto 5 PC will be released tomorrow so stay tuned for more information on both games’ sales in the UK for the coming week.

The previous week’s software sales for the UK are out courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track and there isn’t anything new to see here. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is still the number one selling title across all platforms followed by Grand Theft Auto V. FIFA 15 also maintains its spot at third place.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity is the only real change, moving from eighth place to fourth in the span of a week. This is followed by Minecraft Xbox Edition and PlayStation Edition, Destiny, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Far Cry 4 and The Crew.

One of the major releases of January – Techland’s Dying Light – hasn’t made a dent since it has yet to release at retail stores outside of North America. Turtle Rock’s Evolve is out on February 10th so you can probably expect to see it next week.

Gfk Chart-Tracks sales charts for last week are in and to no one’s surprise, Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was the top selling game across all platforms. Sales were up by 27 percent likely due to the recent release of the Havoc DLC which added Exo Zombies to the game.

If you’re confused about the lack of Techland’s Dying Light, which released globally on January 27th, it’s due to the physical release’s delay in Europe. Though available digitally, Chart-Track only accounts for physical retail sales.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is in second place following a 7 percent drop in sales. FIFA 15 is in third place and Saints Row IV: Re-Elected/Gat Out of Hell is in fourth place despite a 38 percent sales drop.

Minecraft: Xbox Edition, Far Cry 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Minecraft: PlayStation Edition and Destiny make up the remainder of the top ten. What are your thoughts on this week’s best sellers in the UK? Let us know in the comments.

EA Access also sees mor ethan 41 million sessions launched.

Along with its FY 2015 results for the recently ended quarter, EA revealed some interesting numbers for its games played in the same period.

For instance, despite releasing in November, Dragon Age: Inquisition players have already played 113 million hours of the game. That’s only for the campaign, by the way. This pales in comparison to FIFA 15 though in which 3.3 billion goals were scored or Sim City Build It which had more than 200 million buildings constructed.

Of particular note is the success of EA Access, the publisher’s Xbox One-exclusive subscription service which allows players to play games from the Vault while also receiving early access for upcoming releases. Dragon Age: Inquisition’s trial had 310,000 hours logged and a total of 41 million game sessions were launched from the Vault. That should tell you all you need to know about successful it’s been for EA.

What are your thoughts on EA’s success this past quarter? Let us know in the comments.

A lack of major releases in January means last year's games continue to sell well.

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 is holding strong in the UK according to the latest sales charts courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track. This was followed by FIFA 15 which superseded Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for second place.

Meanwhile, Far Cry 4 stood at fourth place. Minecraft: Xbox Edition went up to fifth place followed by massively multiplayer online racing title The Crew and Minecraft: PlayStation Edition. Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Destiny and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham made up the remaining top ten.

Sales were down for all titles though and the only new release of 2015 – Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – is at 38th place in the charts. There is a chance that titles like Dying Light, Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell and Resident Evil HD could shake things up but for now, last year’s best-sellers continue their reign.

What are your thoughts on Grand Theft Auto 5’s success thus far, especially with the PC release in March? Let us know in the comments.

After several successive weeks at the number one position, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was displaced by Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 in the recent Gfk Chart-Track sales charts. The open world crime drama returned to dominance as the former saw its sales drop following the post-Christmas season.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare had its sales reduce by 61 percent for a second place position. FIFA 15, in third place, had a 51 percent reduction in sales. There haven’t been any new releases in the past few weeks with Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker debuting at 16th place. To see Grand Theft Auto 5 manage the number one spot yet again is truly astonishing.

Far Cry 4 was at fourth place, followed by The Crew and Assassin’s Creed: Unity so Ubisoft can at least rest assured of its standings in the charts. Minecraft PlayStation Edition and Xbox Edition, Destiny and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor rounded out the rest of the charts.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and FIFA 15 still successful heading into the new year.

Love it or hate it – and despite the lower sales than previous games in the series – Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is still going strong. According to the past week’s UKIE game charts courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track, Sledgehammer Games’ futuristic first person shooter was the number one selling game across all platforms in the UK.

There hasn’t been much change in the top ten since 2014 ended with Grand Theft Auto 5 and FIFA 15 still in second and third place respectively. Despite much of the negative press it received, Ubisoft has Far Cry 4 at fourth, Assassin’s Creed: Unity at fifth and The Crew at sixth place. Bungie’s Destiny has seen a slight drop in its rankings but is still in the top ten at seventh place.

Oddly enough, WWE 2K15 managed to move up to eighth place. DriveClub on the PS4 is in ninth while Minecraft: Xbox Edition is in 10th place, indicating that the PlayStation Edition has finally been ousted from the top ten.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and FIFA 15 follow.

Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has had its up and downs since release but sales-wise, the first person shooter has been going strong since release. It’s been the number one selling game on UKIE game charts (courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track) for the past several weeks and for this past week, it maintained its lead.

Of course, Grand Theft Auto 5 is still doing well thanks to the release of the Xbox One and PS4 versions. Sales for current gen platforms helped propel the game from third to econd place this week as FIFA 15 dropped to third. Assassin’s Creed: Unity moved up to fifth place despite its issues while Far Cry 4 dropped to fifth place.

The Crew maintained it sixth place spot but surprisingly, DriveClub rose from 12th to seventh place over the past week. Minecraft on Xbox and PlayStation along with LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham round out the list.

Thoughts on this year’s final UK sales chart? Let us know in the comments.
