EA Sports has had some significant FIFA news during this year’s Gamescom. First it announced that it would be featuring an all new line-up of Legends for FIFA 15’s Ultimate Team mode, exclusive to the Xbox One. Now it’s released a new trailer for FIFA 15 and talked about the all new dribbling system incorporated within.

The new dribbling system allows for “complete control” and there will also also be a new goal keeping engine to allow for more realistic saves. You can also be assured of better reflexes from goal keepers.

That’s not all though. Free to play title FIFA World will be receiving an engine overhaul later this year that will update the visuals and add new features to the game. You can also transfer items and data from the old build to the new one without any issues. Look out for more news on the engine overhaul in the months to come.

Executive Producer David Rutter took to the stage to talk about FIFA 14 and its new features. A new co-op Seasons mode was announced with the ability to play in ranked 2v2 to ascend the career graph together. Match Day will be expanded on, and Seasons mode will have real life events affecting the game. It was also announced that FIFA 14 will support cross-generational save transfer, allowing you to play on the Xbox 360 or PS4 and transition your data to the Xbox One or PS4 respectively without problems.

Stadiums are more authentic now, with Matchflow lets players get involved with the audience and ballboys. EA is touting 100 camera positions, which certainly sounds real enough. Ultimate Team Legends, which will be exclusive to the Xbox One version of FIFA 14, will have 40+ players including Pele, Robbie Fowler, Gary Linekar and many more.

FIFA 14 launches September 24th in North America and on September 27th in Europe. A demo for the game will be released on September 10th.

Soccer’s popularity transcends nations and cultures; it makes sense that the same should also be true of a video game based on that sport. And while EA Sports’ FIFA Soccer games are among the highest selling games every year, their sales still represent a minuscule fraction of the total following for soccer worldwide.

Well, EA looks to be changing that by developing a soccer game that is fundamentally going to be more appealing to larger and more varied audiences than its FIFA Soccer games. Polygon reports that EA Sports will be releasing FIFA World, a PC exclusive free to play soccer game in Brazil and Russia- arguably two of the largest soccer playing nations in the world, and yet with extremely low console penetration (FIFA Soccer games traditionally target consoles over PCs).

FIFA World includes EA’s uber successful FIFA Ultimate Team mode, along with Seasons; it also has more than 30 official leagues and more than 600 clubs. The leagues include the Russian Premier League, and the nineteen Brazilian clubs recently announced for inclusion in FIFA 14.

“Brazil and Russia are priority markets for EA Sports and especially our FIFA brand. We are excited to bring to these markets a custom-built, free-to-play PC experience developed around FIFA Ultimate Team,” EA Sports’ senior vice president and group general manager Matt Bilbey said.
