In a very neat easter egg (not to mention a nod to a certain segment of Gladiolus’ fanbase) you can get Gladiolus to play shirtless through all of Episode Gladiolus‘s story, and have his strength boosted by 200 points as you do so. It’s a fun unlock, although it does require you to play through the DLC multiple times.

But hey, you get to look at Gladiolus playing shirtless, which, if that does something for you, is worth it, right? So you probably want to look into unlocking this ability for yourself. If so, then follow the instructions below.

To do this, you need to:

• Beat Episode Gladiolus. This unlocks Attack Mode
• In Attack Mode, get a score of 500,000. This unlocks Rugged Attire
• Rugged Attire is is Gladiolus playing shirtless- you can now select it in the main story mode

If you battle Gilgamesh in Final Fantasy 15: Episode Gladiolus and beat him, you get some of the coolest gear and abilities in the game- the Genji Blade and the Dual Master Glaive Art. Of course, defeating Gilgamesh is an entirely different matter- he’s a master swordsman, and one of the fiercest enemies you will square off against in the game.

To beat him, you need to consider some things. Remember, Gladiolus plays differently than Noctis- so you need to play around his strengths and weaknesses:

• Learn Gilgamesh’s attack patterns, and learn to parry and dodge, hitting him back at the opportune moment
• Because Gladiolus has huge wind up animations for his attacks, don’t go all in for a berserker style attack- that will end you
• Use healing items liberally
• Let your rage build
• Don’t be afraid to use your Glaive Arts

Once you beat him, you are rewarded with the Genji Blade and the Dual Master Glaive Art- congratulations!

Final Fantasy 15: Episode Gladiolus, the first DLC pack for the game since its November launch last year, is now out- and I’m sure that you want to play it, especially since it brings a new spin to the battle system, focuses on an often underrated character, and also fleshes out the main game’s story, filling in some gaps. The question is- how do you do it?

Episode Gladiolus is set during the main story of Final Fantasy 15– during Chapter 7, to be specific. There is no way to access this from within the game. Instead, you need to do it from a separate menu. This guide tells you how:

• Make sure you have actually purchased the DLC
• Make sure your game is updated to the newest version
• Access Final Fantasy 15: Episode Gladiolus from the game’s main menu. Episode Gladiolus works as an entirely separate and distinct entity, with its own separate save files- but once you complete it, its unlocks will carry over for you into the main game, so don’t worry about that, either.
