Final Fantasy III Now Available on Steam

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy III is now finally available on Steam. It retails for £10.99/€12.99 and has been optimized for PC along with featuring better story scenes and 3D visuals. It also includes Steam Trading Cards, Achievements and visual redesigns for Job Mastery Cards.

Final Fantasy III follows many of the original games when it sees you and three other heroes of light seeking to save the world from tragedy. Final Fantasy III was first released in Japan in 1990 for the NES and arrived in Europe in 2007 as part of the Nintendo DS remake. Final Fantasy III is also available on PSP, Android, iOS, Ouya, PSN, Nintendo Virtual Console and even Windows Phone OS.

Final Fantasy III teaser trailer for PSP

Square Enix has released the teaser trailer for Final Fantasy III for PSN. They have also confirmed that it is based on the DS and iOS version and will be released on September 20th. It will cost ¥3,300 through PSN, ¥3800 on retail.

It will be ported in honour of Final Fantasy’s 25th anniversary. We will keep you updated once we receive more information on this. So stay tuned to GB for more news and updates.

Final Fantasy III Released On iOS Tomorrow

The iOS port of Final Fantasy III is seeing the light of day on the 24th of March, which is either today or tomorrow depending on where you live and when you read this. In fact you could read this even later if you like to backtrack through news posts, but the general idea is that Final Fantasy III is pretty much here. It is a port of the DS version, but the graphics have been touched up a bit. It will playable in eight languages and will cost; $15.99 / €12.99 / £9.49 /1,800 yen.

Final Fantasy III Worldwide iPhone Release This Month

Although no definitive date has been given, a worldwide release of Final Fantasy III for iOS, supporting eight different languages, has been confirmed by square for this month. The release of a Japanese language version had been confirmed a month ago.

Final Fantasy 3 port to hit iPhone in March

A very unsubtle message on Square Enix’s facebook page has alerted us to the impending release of Final Fantasy 3 for the iPhone sometime in march.

“FINAL FANTASY III for iPhone coming next month!!” Or so the statement reads.

Considering the modern obscurity of the original FF3, this will most likely be a port of the semi-recent Final Fantasy 3 remake on the Nintendo DS but this has yet to be confirmed.
