There’s lots you can say about Epic Games, they sure are in the news a lot nowadays, and how they’ve handled their business ventures. Their PC storefront, the Epic Games Store, for instance, was at one point a lynchpin for controversy due to using exclusive deals as its main leverage against competitors. But regardless of what you think, through EGS they have given out a ton of games, and one of the most recent is Football Manager 2020, and a lot of people are redeeming.

As revealed by series Director Miles Jacobson, the game was redeemed over 1 million times as of last week. More people redeemed in 36 hours than did in the entire time the game was free on Steam for 2 weeks (though, to be fair, that was a free trial as opposed to here, where the game is free to keep permanently). Hopefully, it translates into more consistent players as well as more people checking out the sequels.

Football Manager 2020 is still free now via the Epic Games Store and will be until September 24th. Alongside it is Watch Dogs 2 and Stick it the Man, which are also free for the same time frame.

This week’s free offerings on the Epic Games Store are quite varied. They include Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2, Sports Interactive’s Football Manager 2020 and Zoink’s Stick It to the Man. You’ll need an Epic Games account to claim all of these games and the Epic Games Launcher to play install and play them.

Watch Dogs 2 launched in 2016 and served as a dramatic improvement to the previous game. It sees hacker Marcus Holloway joining DedSec after being convicted by ctOS 2.0 in San Francisco. The group then makes it their mission to take down the ctOS before it can harm more people.

Football Manager 2020 is the latest management simulation from Sports Interactive and features teams from 53 countries and 26 leagues. It’s still fairly popular and serves as the premiere title for those wanting to manage their own football team. Finally, there’s Stick It to the Man, a fun puzzle game which sees protagonist Ray suddenly having an arm extending from his brain along with mind-reading powers.

All in all, not a bad selection of games – you have until September 24th to claim them. RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 Complete Edition is next week’s free game so stay tuned until then.

After initially announcing 12 games for the launch of Stadia, Google has added 10 more titles to the list. These include games like Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle, Final Fantasy 15, GRID, Metro Exodus, NBA 2K20 and RAGE 2. Also, Stadia Pro subscribers will receive Samurai Shodown along with Destiny 2: The Collection.

Other titles that have been confirmed for the service include Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2, Mortal Kombat 11 and the last three Tomb Raider games. Other games like Borderlands 3, Darksiders Genesis, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint are still slated to release this year. Beyond that, we’ll have to wait and see.

There’s no denying that Google has its work cut out for it with Stadia. The company recently confirmed that several major features like family sharing, the Achievement UI and Buddy Pass system won’t be available at launch. Stadia also won’t work with existing Chromecast Ultra devices – only with those provided in the Founder’s Pack and Premiere Edition. Google has announced all of the titles that Stadia, its game streaming platform, will launch with. A total of 12 games will be available with 14 more titles coming by 2019 end. The list includes big names like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Destiny 2: Collection, Mortal Kombat 11 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

It’s worth noting that those who purchased the Founder’s Edition of Google Stadia will receive a three month subscription to Stadia Pro. This enables playing Destiny 2: Collection, which includes the latest expansion Shadowkeep, at no additional cost. Though free games will be added to the service overtime, customers will still need to buy games to play them.

Releasing on November 19th, Stadia’s main selling point is the lack of any dedicated hardware and the ability to play games anywhere. Google also promises that games on Stadia will feel faster and more responsive than they would on local hardware in the coming years. Sega’s Football Manager series is gearing up for its next iteration. Football Manager 2020 has been announced and it’s out in November 2019. While a firm release date wasn’t provided, Sports Interactive did release a trailer. Check it out below.

Pre-orders are also live, providing 10 percent off along with early access to the beta. Much of the game’s features should be familiar to fans – there are 50 different countries to base yourself in. Roughly 2,500 clubs will be available along with over 500,000 players and staff that can be scouted. Licensing updates are a given but we’ll have to wait for more information on what’s new.

Football Manager 2020 is currently slated for PC but will also release for Nintendo Switch, like its predecessor, and on Google Stadia. Check out GamingBolt’s review for Football Manager 2019 here.
