According to the recent find via AMD Driver Update a title called ‘War for Nosgoth’ has been spotted. Nosgoth is the name of the world in the Legacy of Kain franchise that dates way back in the mid 90s starting on Sony’s PlayStation. The game is also found in steam’s database history and was last updated on May 27th.

Back in February of 2013 Kotaku’s superannuation twitter discovered a warfornosgoth.com domain that was registered by Square Enix.

This suggest that Nosgoth might be the next entry in the Legacy of Kain series after its overdue absence from the gaming world. This would be amazing news for the fans of the franchise all over the planet. Hopefully this is true, thankfully we have a lot of evidence that a new Legacy of Kain game is nearing a reality.

Metal Gear Solid series has sold over 30 million copies in total worldwide, an impressive figure revealed to us today. Next year the franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary, and is one of the longest running franchises ever. The series started in 1987 and has finally sold 30 million worldwide according to Kojima Productions’ manager of public relations, Jiro Oishi.

” The series “Metal Gear” has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. There may be other more impressive record, but if we take into account the platforms and the number of titles in the series, it’s awesome!”

The last numbered Metal Gear Solid game was exclusive to the PS3, and is rumoured to be the last one in the series but it’s you can’t really trust Kojima. Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 HD collection will release this year for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 and Metal Gear Rising starring Raiden will release sometime next year.

7. Resistance

The Resistance series offers a breathtaking storyline, following the course of an alternate history, where, after the Second World War, an alien race known as Chimera invaded our planet and to0k over. The post apocalyptic, beautifully imagines world can give you goosebumps, and the fast and furious gunplay will keep you on your toes the whole time. The only thing one can fault the Resistance series for is never having succeeded at providing a proper online experience, but hopefully, that will change with Resistance 3.

6. Dragon Age

The Dragon Age series might not have had a very good 2010, and fans may not have gotten the sequel they wanted in Dragon Age II, but the series is, undeniably, one of the best IPs to have been introduced this generation. Dragon Age: Origins told an epic, high fantasy tale with heavy, hardcore RPG based gameplay. Dragon Age II offered a fresh new take on the series, completely revamping the combat, introducing a new character, and a new setting. And while fans may not have liked Dragon Age II much, it cannot be denied that the ending of the game set stage for a sequel perfectly. We’re curious to see where BioWare takes the series with Dragon Age III.

5. LittleBigPlanet

This generation has had few games games ass imaginative and innovative as LittleBigPlanet was. Sure, some people might say the platforming of the LBP games is fundamentally flawed. But nobody in their right mind would disagree with the fact that the games are extremely fun, charming, refreshing and imaginative. While we have seen the Play, Create, Share functions in many other games before, LBP took that to a whole new level, offering unprecedented amounts of freedom with creation. LBP2 took that one step forward, letting us create entire games, so that the replay value of the game was sky-high. Surely, if anyone ever gets their hands on a LittleBigPlanet game, they never want to put it down.

Thought PS3 exclusives don’t sell? Think again.

Sony’s confirmed that Uncharted series, comprising of all but two games, Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 have sold more than 8 million units worldwide. Here’s what they have to say:

This is amazing news for PS3 and its exclusives, it shows that great quality games can achieve great commercial success aswell.

Uncharted 3 was announced yesterday and will get its first trailer at the VGA 2010 awards this Saturday.

Expect it to break all sales records set by the  franchise so far when it releases in fall 2011.
