Find out Indian players' favourite moments from the beta.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is going great guns these days – the recent open beta saw more than 6.4 million players taking part, making it the largest beta for a new IP yet. We’ve heard the stats of players going rogue and extracting contaminated loot but what about the stories of those on the ground? Games The Shop recently spoke to several open beta participants to ask their take on the same.

The Division‘s open beta has seen significant praise, though we’ll reserve judgment for the full game when it’s out. Thus far, there are concerns regarding the game’s end-game content and whether it will be specifically centered on the Dark Zone PvP. Fortunately, Ubisoft Massive seems aware of player concerns and has hinted at some kind of end-game co-op for players. Basically raids but an official announcement is still pending.

Releasing on March 8th, Tom Clancy’s The Division is out on PS4, Xbox One and PS4. Will you be picking it up? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

The PC version will include all the previously launched DLC for no extra cost which is a bonus.

If you’re in India, you can pre-order the PC version of WWE 2K16 from Games The Shop and pick up an exclusive WWE T-shirt with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s signature skull on it.
Indian gamers can join in on the fun with everyone else.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-211066" src="https://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/22.-Batman.jpg" alt="22.
Gaming as a hobby may be limited to a very small percentage of India’s overall population, but what people forget is that a small percentage of a billion is still a stupidly large number. That’s why more and more games and publishers are taking the territory so seriously.

For instance, e-xpress Interactive Software Pvt Ltd, India’s leading distributor of video games, has announced that it will be offering Indian players access to the closed beta of the eagerly anticipated Rainbow Six: Siege. You can get your code by pre-ordering the game. The game itself is releasing on October 13 2015. It will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at INR 3,499, while the PC version is priced at INR 1,499.

That’s not all, either- via their Games The Shop retail outlets, they also announced some exclusive pre-order bonuses for the eagerly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight. All gamers who pre-order Batman Arkham Knight will receive an official T-shirt with Harley Quinn story pack and Red Hood story pack. Batman Arkham Knight is releasing on June 23, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game is priced at INR 1,499 for PC and INR 3,499 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

If they held a midnight launch for each Assassin's Creed game ever, they would ever close down.

Assassin’s Creed is a pretty damn massive franchise, no matter where in the world you go. It’s so successful, it gets midnight launches everywhere. Including in India, where the games’ local distributor, e-XPRESS Interactive, has announced that it will be holding midnight launches for both the new Assassin’s Creed games that launch this year, Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.

The midnight launches will be held in association with Games the Shop, and will feature trivia quizzes, competition, as well as Arno showing up there (don’t ask me how, maybe they hooked up a 3D printer to the Animus or something), to take pictures with people who show up to buy the games.

Assassin’s Creed Unity and Rogue will both be available to pick up in India starting 11.30 PM on November 13. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more of our coverage of both titles, including our reviews for both games.

Indian buyers get a lucrative deal if they want to pick up Sony's newest console.

Games The Shop, India’s leading specialized games retailer, has announced a new cash back deal on the PlayStation 4 for all buyers, as long as they buy the system financed in equated monthly installments (EMIs).

Buying electronics in India broken down into EMIs is a common practice, especially since so many of them are so expensive compared to what quite a few people earn. For instance, the PlayStation 4 retails for INR 40,000- that’s roughly $600. In this case, if people buy a PlayStation 4 and get it financed into EMIs through Games the Shop, they will get INR 2000 (roughly $30) back straight upfront- probably a good deal, especially considering that those INR 2000 could be put straight towards a game or something.

Games The Shop tells us that this offer is only available for a limited time, so if Indian buyers want to avail of it, they should probably start now. They can do it online here.

PlayStation 4 is currently the only current gen console available in India, having launched there back in January this year. The Xbox One will soon be launching in the country too, although it will be available exclusively through Amazon.

All over the world, dedicated games retailers seem to be diversifying.

Games The Shop is one of the leading dedicated retailers of video game equipment in India, selling a multitude of hardware, software, and peripherals. However, now the store has announced that it will be diversifying its product range and SKUs, to sell not just video game hardware and software, but Blu Ray movies (and Blu Ray 3D movies) as well.

As of right now, the Blu Ray movies will be limited only to the online storefront; the actual physical retail space will still be reserved exclusively for video games, although the retailer has expressed an interest in eventually selling movies from within its stores as well.

In a sense, selling Blu Ray movies makes sense, given that three out of the five home consoles sold in India- the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One- all play Blu Ray movies. Selling movies thus makes sense from the perspective of selling ‘accessories’ for the consoles.

One of India’s largest speciality games retailers, Games The Shop, will be having a special monsoon sale, where some of the biggest hits in recent times will be available for as much as 70% off. And for those of you who didn’t know, monsoon is the annual inward movement of rainy weather into India over the seas; in a country that is still as agrarian as India is, a good monsoon is often the lifeblood of the country.

The games that Games The Shop will be offering on sale will include Grand Theft Auto V, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, WWE 2K14, Murdered Soul Suspect, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Max Payne 3, Far Cry 3, Batman Arkham Origins, Company of Heroes 2, Injustice. However, the store will be adding new games to the sale every day, so you can and should keep track of the sales here.
