The space-faring RPG can be streamed to different devices over the cloud in 4K resolution and with Ultra settings enabled.

Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield is playable on Xbox Series X/S and PC while also being playable through Game Pass. However, if you’re not a fan of 30 FPS on consoles or don’t have a strong enough PC, there’s always GeForce Now. The space-faring RPG is available now on the service, and you can try it out even if you already own it on Steam/Xbox or have a Game Pass subscription.

GeForce Now utilizes cloud streaming for its games and can offer up to 4K resolution or 120 FPS, thanks to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4080 when subscribing to the Ultimate tier for $20. The Verge tested it and found that graphics are set to Ultra by default. AMD’s FSR 2.0 is active with 75 percent render resolution.

New Atlantis delivered 47 to 48 frames per second, but Neon fared better with around 70 to 80 FPS. Other locations and “lighter firefights” offered frame rates “far north” of 60 FPS. GeForce Now’s free tier is nowhere near as solid, unfortunately.

For more details on Starfield, check out our review here. Its first hotfix is live, with Bethesda adding support for DLSS, Ultrawide displays, and an FoV slider later.

Microsoft and Nvidia signed a 10-year deal to bring the former's games to the GeForce Now cloud streaming platform earlier this year.

In order to get its proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard approved by regulatory authorities around the world, Microsoft has signed agreements with a number of companies over the last few weeks to bring its games to their platforms for the foreseeable future. With the acquisition having been blocked by the UK’s CMA, it remains to be seen whether it will actually end up going through, though of course, Microsoft will be honouring the aforementioned recently made agreements.

One such deal that the company agreed with was with Nvidia, with Microsoft pledging to bring its games to cloud platform GeForce Now for at least the next 10 years. That process has now begun, with Gears 5 being the first Microsoft-published title to become available on the streaming platform.

Meanwhile, more Xbox titles will soon be making their way to the streaming service as well, with Arkane Studios’ Deathloop and Obsidian Entertainment’s Pentiment and Grounded set to become available for GeForce Now next week, on May 25.

Players will venture into the post-apocalyptic ruins to scavenge for supplies, battling ARC machines and potentially other Raiders.

Embark Studios’ co-op third-person shooter ARC Raiders has changed since its announcement. In a new Medium post, executive producer Aleksander Grøndal revealed that the team decided last year to add PvP.

Furthermore, it now has elements of a survival extraction shooter. Grøndal says the experience “stays true to the ARC Raiders universe, and we’re having a blast testing internally.” One scenario involves Speranza, an underground colony that needs supplies. As a Raider, you venture out to scavenge them, fighting off ARC machines and other Raiders. You could encounter situations like helping out another Raider fighting the ARC or leaving them to die and picking through their remains.

There’s a relationship with traders in the colony as well. “Trust is hard-earned and easily lost. You need to earn your keep. So don’t come back from a quest empty-handed,” said Grøndal.

Sign-ups are currently available on Steam for a closed alpha test, which will garner feedback “on the game’s core systems and loops. This will be the first road test of ARC Raiders and an important step for the game, which, so far, has never been in the hands of external players.” It will be under NDA since the developer “has some work to do and theories to prove before it’s time to put them on the world’s stage.”

ARC Raiders doesn’t have a release date, but it’s launching this year for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PC and GeForce Now. Embark Studios is also working on a competitive PvP title, THE FINALS. It recently had a beta, which received positive feedback.

"Despite clearly intending to use these agreements in its defense, Microsoft has refused to produce underlying internal documents related to these agreements," the American agency says.

With Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard being investigated by numerous regulatory bodies and how the company will handle future Call of Duty releases being in question, it has been signing binding agreements with several companies, including the likes of Nintendo and Nvidia, to commit to bringing Call of Duty games to their platforms with full feature and content parity for at least the next ten years, with more similar agreements in the works as well.

However, the United States’ Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which filed an antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft in December to block the acquisition, doesn’t seem satisfied with said agreements. In recently filed documents (via VGC), the agency said that Microsoft is signing the deals in an attempt to convince regulatory bodies to approve its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, but has actually refused to provide requested underlying details.

“Despite clearly intending to use these agreements in its defense, Microsoft has refused to produce underlying internal documents related to these agreements, or communications with third parties other than Nvidia, Nintendo and Sony,,” the FTC said. “Microsoft should be not permitted to introduce or rely on these agreements without producing the requested underlying discovery.”

The agency is seeking “all documents related to exclusivity of content Microsoft acquired from ZeniMax and exclusivity of content Microsoft proposes to acquire from Activision.”

Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is currently also being investigated by the United Kingdom’s Competition and Markets Authority, and the European Commission, though final decisions are expected to published within the coming weeks.

Microsoft and Nvidia have signed a 10-year deal to bring the former's games to the GeForce Now cloud streaming platform.

Microsoft and Nvidia have announced a new deal signed between the two companies. As part of the deal, Microsoft and Nvidia have agreed to a 10-year partnership, bringing Xbox PC games to Nvidia’s cloud streaming platform GeForce Now.

The deal, coming about as a result of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, will bring several games to the service, including Call of Duty. The deal also means that GeForce Now users can play games they buy on the Windows Store without having to use any workarounds. This includes third-party releases.

The deal seems to be similar to the one recently signed between Microsoft and Nintendo, where Microsoft agreed to a 10-year partnership to bring games like Call of Duty to Nintendo’s platform with “full feature and content parity”.

The announcement comes in light of a recent European Commission hearing about Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. After the hearing, Microsoft’s Brad Smith also revealed that the company and Sony aren’t yet close to signing a similar deal to keep bring Call of Duty to PlayStation.

Described as an "ambitious" title, the shooter needs extra time to "expand the experience and allow it to reach its fullest potential."

Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders, headed by former EA chief designer Patrick Söderlund, has been delayed. It was originally slated for a free-to-play release this year on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS5 and GeForce Now but is now launching in 2023.

On Twitter, the developer said that ARC Raiders is an “ambitious game” and that the extra time will be used to “expand the experience and allow it to reach its fullest potential.” More information is coming later as the team tests the game more extensively with players. This could mean alpha and beta tests in the coming months so keep your eyes peeled.

As a co-op sci-fi third-person shooter, ARC Raiders sees humanity battling against ARC, a mechanical threat from space. The focus is on PvE with enemies like giant walkers, flying drones and much more to destroy. Players have exceptional movement abilities and an array of weapons, including explosives, to fight back. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

Join the human resistance as it battles against the mechanized threat of the ARC on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and GeForce Now.

Former EA chief designer Patrick Söderlund’s newest team Embark Studios finally revealed its first title, ARC Raiders. It’s a free to play, co-op sci-fi shooter that sees the human resistance battling the overwhelming threats of the ARC. Check out the first trailer below.

For the moment, ARC Raiders is a PvE-focused third person shooter. Along with various mechanized flying drones, there are giant walker-like tanks whose legs can be blown apart. Explosives and other weaponry can be employed, though players also seem capable of leaping around with little effort. It’s interesting especially given the music choice.

ARC Raiders is slated to release in 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS5 and GeForce Now. It’s published by Nexon and sees players scavenging their tools from the ruins to overcome the ARC. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay footage in the coming months (hopefully along with information on the game’s monetization)

The Sony first party game is not showing up in searches for those that are using the Edge browser and GeForce combo on Xbox.

A lot of discussion has been had about Sony letting their first party titles come to PC with the recent announcement of God of War making its way to the platform. It’s interesting to see the platform holder loosening up on games coming to the platform, even if years later, but one title before that was Death Stranding. That title came to PC at a pretty quick turnaround, and now is even part of GeForce Now. However, it seems if you were hoping to play that on you Xbox, it may not be possible after all.

It was revealed recently that Xbox users could potentially stream PC games via the Edge Web Browser with GeForce Now due to a recent update. However, as noted by The Verge’s Tom Warren below, an interesting omission is there. Despite Death Stranding being on the service, it does not show up at all on the search list via Xbox consoles.

It’s worth noting that the PC version is published by 505 Games and not Sony, but Death Stranding still remains a Sony property despite that. No official comment has been made by any parties involved, so whether this is a glitch or there is a contract that would specifically block the game from being streamed via a competitor’s console is unclear. However, it is worth noting that some users have been able to get it to work in other regions, such as Russia, meaning it could just be the former and things will be fixed in time. We’ll keep you updated.

the weirdest part is that Sony doesn't publish Death Stranding on PC, only on console. That might not matter, though. If there's an agreement somewhere about cloud / console streaming exclusivity, then this could be why. I've asked Nvidia to comment

According to Nvidia, "inclusion on the list is neither confirmation nor an announcement of any game."

Recently, users started digging into the innards of Nvidia’s streaming service, GeForce Now, and unearthed a massive list of games and potential upcoming PC versions. Along with the sheer number of games included, what’s taken people by surprise is some of the names mentioned, including unannounced PC versions of games such as God of War, Gran Turismo 7, and Returnal, and even entirely unannounced games, like Resident Evil 4 Remake and GTA Trilogy Remastered.

There has been quite a bit of confusion exactly what the nature of this list is, as you’d expect, but Nvidia has provided a statement to clear some things up. According to the game, the list is partly speculative, referring to the unreleased and unannounced games mentioned in it, while the company also stresses that “no confidential game builds or personal information were exposed” due to the leak.

“NVIDIA is aware of an unauthorized published game list, with both released and/or speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing,” the company said in a statement to Wccftech. “Inclusion on the list is neither confirmation nor an announcement of any game.

“NVIDIA took immediate action to remove access to the list. No confidential game builds or personal information were exposed.”

The fact that the list even includes mention of a Final Fantasy 9 remake probably should have tipped people off that maybe it’s not exactly a leak of unannounced games on the horizon, but there you go- now we have official word from Nvidia as well. The list itself, of course, is still interesting, and there’s plenty to dive into, but it shouldn’t be taken as a leak of upcoming announcements, or upcoming PC versions of games.

A potential datamine of the GeForce Now service showed a wealth of unannounced game coming to PC, including several PlayStation first party titles.

As time has gone on, studios have become more open to releasing their games on PC. Once upon time, the platform was skipped quite a good deal or got late ports. That has changed a lot in recent memories, with even one of the platform holders (Microsoft) now releasing their games day and date on their consoles as well as multiple PC storefronts. Now it looks like a potential datamine has shown a lot of games could be coming from another platform holder, as well as a host of games from other publishers that are not announced.

In a blog from developer Ighor July, which you can read here, he talked about how he was able to access the database to Nvidia’s streaming service, GeForce Now, that allows you to stream games from your PC. Within it is a list of entries of various titles, compiled by SteamDB founder Pavel Djundik. While most are titles that are known and out, there’s a sizable amount of them are not. For instance, Resident Evil 4 Remake, a title that has been rumored via insider leaks, is here. As well as games we may know is coming even if there’s been no official announcement, such as Gears 6.

Maybe what is most interesting, however, is there’s lots of titles from Sony. God of War 2018 is here, alongside Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Forbidden West, Returnal and Demon’s Souls, all Sony first party titles that do not have currently announced PC ports. We know the company has become more open to porting titles to the PC, though it has been on a very limited basis. You can see the full list through here.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind. While it is possible that this has potentially just outed a whole lot of titles coming to PC, it could also be that a lot of these are placeholders for projects that may not be active. It’s also been said that GeForce Now has been used extensively in game development recently due to pandemic remote work conditions, so it’s very possible some of this is left over from that. For instance, of all the PlayStation first party titles, only God of War has a direct reference to Steam as a platform, while the other titles have no platform tied to it.

So, with that in mind, it’s hard to tell what all this could or could not mean. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
