Coming to iOS and Android.

The new Robocop movie will be releasing in theaters later this year, and of course, there will be a movie tie in game to go with that too. However, unlike movie tie in games of the past, present ones largely seem content to restrict themselves to smartphones. At least those pesky iOS and Android devices have been good for something!

Case in point: the Robocop video game. To be fair, it actually looks like it’d be a fun third person shooter to play (although questions about the viability of an all touch control scheme for such a game arise again), and it’s certainly something I see myself picking up. The fact that it is going to be free to play will also probably spur adoption for the game.

Developed by Glu (who are excellent mobile game developers), it will hit iOS via the App Store, and Android via Google Play.
