Bandai Namco Studios’ latest instalment in the God Eater franchise, God Eater 3, is now available on Steam. Retailing for $59.99, it currently holds a “Mostly Positive” score from 249 user reviews. The PS4 version should be live on the PlayStation Store in the US and UK later today, so keep an eye out for that as well.

God Eater 3 takes place directly after the second game, following the destruction of Fenrir. New Ash Aragami have risen following a major disaster, wielding Devour attacks, and must be fought with new strategies. Players can utilize new God Arts to fight them though, including the new dual-wield “Biting Edge”.

There’s also the “Heavy Moon” two-handed moon axe and a new “Ray Gun” for fighting at a distance. New Burst Mode abilities, movement attacks, and much more are also available to help even the odds. Along with a single-player campaign, God Eater 3 also support online co-op. You can have up to four players fighting a common target, or 8-player Assault missions, which require killing foes within a time limit.

Yusuke Tomizawa replaces series veteran Hideo Baba; currently working on Tales of Vesperia remaster.

Going forward, Bandai Namco Games’ Tales series will have Yusuke Tomizawa as its producer following the departure of veteran Hideo Baba, as per the latest weekly issue of Famitsu (translation by Gematsu). Tomizawa is better known as the producer for the God Eater series, and is currently the producer for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition.

In an interview with the publication, along with series chief director Yoshito Higuchi, Tomizawa said that more remasters and remakes are being planned based on requests. It was also revealed that a new title would be announced during the Tales of Festival 2018.

It’s worth noting though that the recently announced Tales of Crestoria, which is heading to mobiles, doesn’t directly involve Tomizawa. He did note that it’s more of an entry-level title with a new, original story as opposed to an all-star title. Among other details is the fact that Higuchi is also working on other games.

As for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, it was recently delayed from Q4 2018 to January 11th 2019. It’s in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
