Kratos lives and is apparently going the Norse way.

A massive amount of concept art for what appears to be God of War 4 has been leaked by NerdLeaks (with NeoGAF collating most of the images). The art has apparently been created by an unnamed artist who worked on the title at SCE Santa Monica in 2015.

The concept art showcases Kratos but with a beard and apparently uses Norse mythology this time around. Kratos will be visiting Alfheim, the land of Fairies where the Light Elves live and he’ll encounter more than one prison in the game. He’s also seen with an axe for cutting vines and creating bridges while the environment itself can be interacted with (Kratos can brush up against vines, for instance). A cinematic trailer “Gorgon & Hydra” is apparently expected.

If that weren’t enough, insider Shinobi602 teased on Twitter before the leak that God of War 4 would be taking place in a Norse world.

With all the reports and rumours of God of War 4 happening, this recent leak adds even more fuel to the fire. Regardless, what do you think of it all? Let us know in the comments.

Launch titles will include Deep Down and God of War 4 apparently.

Sony’s PS4.5 or PS4K – depending on what you want to call it – could apparently have a GPU twice as powerful as the current SDK according to insider reports.

NeoGAF user OsirisBlack claimed to have lots of information about the PS4.5 from a meeting that happened recently. NeoGAF mods verified these sources and it seems the console will cost $399. If a better CPU happens, then it’s likely that the price is $499.

The GPU will apparently have a faster clock speed and will be smaller. It will also apparently have a 4K Blu-ray player and upscale games which aren’t 4K native (not that new games will run at native 4K anyway).

Developers are already in possession of dev kits apparently and while games developed for the PS4.5 will also head to the PS4, there will be sacrifices made for performance. Launch games will apparently include EVE: Valkyrie and Robinson: The Journey for PlayStation VR, Deep Down and God of War 4.

Take this all with a grain of salt of course. What are your thoughts on the same? Let us know in the comments.

“Vengeance”, ” Redemption” ? The hints are clear, isn’t it? God of War 3 had a good ending, and the material to make another sequel seems impossible, but you never know.

But still, we will wait for the official confirmation from Sony. Meanwhile, you are free to speculate as to what it could be.

Sony Santa Monica’s Senior Director of Product Development Shannon Studstill told IGN that Sony has been considering bringing their premium action franchise, God of War, to their newly released handheld, PS Vita, and maybe iOS devices too.

When asked if God of War would ever make its way to the PS Vita via developers Ready at Dawn like it did for the PSP, Studstill assured that “all of that’s on the table.” However, shockingly, he even went on to say that God of War might even see the light of the day on Apple’s iOS devices. God of War: Betrayal was the first GoW game to be released on a non-Sony platform, but this would be the first major God of War release to be launched on a third party device.

“I think with the way the industry’s playing that dysfunctional passive aggressive type of mentality, we as a company and we as an industry constantly have to look at all opportunities,” said Studstill. “It doesn’t mean we’ll go there, but there’s certainly reason to talk about it.”

Rumours of God of War 4 have been running around like crazy lately. Is it conceivable that the game in development is actually a PS Vita iteration of the action franchise? Tell us what you think in the comments section below.

Okay, the God of War 4 rumours have been piling on top of another for a long time now- again, and again, and again, and again– and it’s all but confirmed. No one now is dumb enough to think that it doesn’t exist. Sony may as well just announce it now, because another report has surfaces that strengthens the rumours.

South African retailer BT Games (via Joystiq) has listed God of War IV as available for pre-orders, and according to the listing, the game ships out in February 2013.

“We haven’t announced any future God of War titles,” a Sony representative told GameSpot when asked for clarification. Well, he didn’t exactly deny the reports.

A sequel is all but inevitable. Not only because the franchise is super successful, both, critically and commercially, but also because all these rumours and reports over the past few months have more or less confirmed its existence.

Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated.

It seems God of War 4 is pretty much confirmed now. There have been plenty of hints before, and even Resident Evil 6 was revealed this way.

It is from a Linkedin CV, which you can check over here, discovered by a GAF member. Since this leak is totally legitimate, Sony should be revealing the game at any time now.

Earlier we had a rumour regarding God of War 4 unveil from a recently concluded Destination PlayStation event, but that didn’t turn out too well.

We will keep you updated, once we get our hands on more info.

I mean, once you see rumours, after rumours, after rumours, after rumours of a game, it’s got to be true. And creator of the original God of War, David Jaffe, has commented on what he wants to see in the next GoW game.

He says he wants to see multiple mythologies in the game, not just Greek, with more character depth for Kratos and a structure similar to the Zelda games (possibly meaning he wants the games to be a bit open ended or more puzzle based).

When asked which direction he wants God of War 4 to go in, he replied: “Zelda formula, multiple mythologies, more nuance to Kratos.”

That sounds nice.

Okay, so take this with a pinch of salt, but UK based gaming magazine, PLAY has mentioned that God of War 4 and Syphon Filter 4 will be announced this February by Sony.

Now God of War 4 sounds believable as there were a bunch of rumours floating around regarding multiplayer and what not, but Syphon Filter 4 sounds really interesting.

The mag also said that it would be made by SCE London and not Sony Bend who were the creators of all Syphon Filter games. Both these games are rumoured to release this year.

“As far as our spies tell us, Syphon Filter 4 will be announced and released during 2012 – they’re not often wrong either. Developed by SCE London Studio (once thought to be Sony Bend), it will see a return to the world of shooting, espionage and Gabe Logan’s superb name.”

We will keep you updated if such an announcement indeed happens, till then you know what to do – treat this as a rumour.

Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
