The livestream will provide details on the Granblue Fantasy mobile title along with what’s coming in the future. Though it seems like a long shot, there may be new details on Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the action RPG announced in 2016 for PS4 (and later for PS5). Cygames confirmed in December last year that the title would be releasing in 2022 so it remains to be seen if there will be an update.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus continues to receive updates with Seox added as the final DLC character in Character Pass 2. A new Character Pass could be announced during the special so stay tuned for more details. Granblue Fantasy: Versus is available for PS4 and PC – check out our review for it here.

Cygames has had a busy year thus far, releasing Granblue Fantasy Versus for PS4 and PC (besides supporting the original mobile RPG). However, it has even more news coming up next month. It announced that the yearly Granblue Fantasy Summer special would be live streamed on August 8th.

The stream will run from 6 PM to 9 PM JST. Along with news and variety segments, viewers can expect details on upcoming updates. More information will be provided later. However, one can assume that details on Granblue Fantasy: Relink, even if it’s just a small development update, could be incoming.

It’s been almost four years since the action RPG, which PlatinumGames had worked on up till February 2019, was announced for PS4. We’ve seen new footage which showcases the co-op gameplay that players can expect but a release window has always been pending. Perhaps that will change in August.
