Like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, GrimGrimoire’s story is interrupted by RTS battles. In these segments, you command Familiars from four different schools of Magic to fight on your behalf, each having unique advantages and disadvantages against the other. The remaster adds improvements like a higher resolution, sharper artwork, revamped UI and a new Skill Tree.

You can also learn more about the world and its creatures via a Tactical Notebook. New Grand Magic Spells also help turn the tide. GrimGrimoire OnceMore also has a demo available, with progress transferring to the full game.

The exact content of the demo is unknown, but it should provide a rough idea of the real-time strategy gameplay and story. As Lillet Blan, a trainee magician, players venture to Silver Star Tower to further their education. However, a strange tragedy befalls the academy, resulting in widespread death.

Lillet has somehow traveled back to five days prior and must use her talents to discover the truth of the disaster. Along with HD visuals, the remake features new Grand Magic spells and a new Skill Tree. It’s out on April 4th for PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch in North America. As a new student of Silver Star Tower, an academy for magicians, Lillet Bran seeks to become a master of magic. Various dangers await, and Lillet must use Grimoires and summon familiars to aid her in combat. While English text and voiceovers are available in the global release, you can also switch to Japanese audio for the latter.

Fans of the original can expect an updated resolution and screen ratio, a Skill Tree for upgrading your familiars and unlocking new abilities, and a Tactical Notebook that provides information on the various creatures and phenomena of the world.
