Check out this AI comparison between Gran Turismo 5 and Forza 4. You wouldn’t believe it but Forza 3 actually seems to have better A.I. than Forza 4. Turn 10 needs some explaining to do because this video is just hilarious. If you remember earlier, Forza 3 A.I was found to be much superior than Gran Turismo 5.

This was video that showed Forza 3 had superior A.I compared to Gran Turismo 5.

Polyphony Digital have released a report (via VG247), saying that Gran Turismo 5 has now shipped 6.3 million units worldiwde, taking the series total to 63.15 million units.

We don’t know if those are the units GT5 has shipped or sold.

Sony has revealed the sales for Gran Turismo 5 in the month of its releases in US and they are not that promising.

Ubisoft has also revealed the sales numbers of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and they look really amazing.

GT5 sold 400k units in US and ACB has sold a whooping 1.1 million units so far, according to the report published by NPD.

Money’s a bitch, even in a videogame.

If you want to earn lots and lots of money while playing Gran Turismo 5 though, and earn them quick, we’ve got you covered.

Once you toil enough to reach level 12 in the game i.e

A youtube user has posted a nifty way which will net you 17.4k in less than three minutes. We’ve posted the video above but here’s the guide, courtesy of Ripten.

1.) Be at Level 12.

2.) You’ll need a ride:

2006 Chevy Corvette Z06 (100k)
Tune it to 600 — 650 hp, Drop weight to stage 1, and buy some medium racing tires (50 — 60K)

3.) The event:

Enter the Supercar Racing series in the Advanced Level, Select the Second track 3 laps at Daytona.

You will complete three laps flat out at 44-46 seconds a lap, and will earn 17.4k.

Even with loading times you can still enter, compete and win this race 3 times in 10 minutes for $52,200

You can also use this car for the American Muscle car series & earn the same 52k for 3 races.

There you have it, nothing beats easy money!

Gran Turismo 5 has got another update making it version 1.3, it includes the much anticipated mechanical damage addition among others.

It also enables you to select whether or not you want to have damage in the first place, with light, heavy or none options at your disposal.

It’s around 150MB in size and can be downloaded when the game boots up.

Another update is planned already and is supposed to add save-back up feature to the game.

PlanetaDeJuego has got the first official pictures of the new Gran Turismo 5 Thrustmaster t500 RS Steering wheel.

The wheel comes with a “reversible” pedal mount, which can be used in either a top or bottom-hinger configuration.

A user has sent us this hilarious video of Gran Turismo 5 which shows a car colliding head on with a group approaching from the opposite side and then flying and rolling for some 50 feet before coming to a standstill.

The release of Gran Turismo 5 has made sony’s console zoom ahead of the competition this week.

Sony received a boost in PS3 sales for the week of November 22-28 in Japan, thanks in part to Gran Turismo 5 being bundled with a great looking blue PS3.

Their handheld device also sold like hot cakes this week, with over 70k units moved.

The Wii’s sales also saw some major boost but the DS saw a decline.

Gran Turismo 5, did you hear that?

Andy Tudor, the lead designer of NFS: Shift 2 has made himself heard that they won’t be including cars just to add numbers and would focus more on the racing bit.

He told Eurogamer, the fun in racing games is “behind the wheel” and not grinding for cash to buy another car to add to one’s collection.

“[Gran Turismo and Forza] are on pedestals at the moment. When we’re thinking about what we want to do in this game, it’s not a numbers game,” said Tudor. “We’re not going to add a thousand irrelevant cars. Both those games, to me, are almost like encyclopedias. You’ve got a thousand cars, a thousand tracks, whatever, and basically the game is about earning cash to get another car, earning cash to get another car. It’s like a grind. It’s almost like stamp collecting.

“That’s not where the fun is. The fun is behind the wheel, feeling you’re on the edge, pushing it to the limit, putting in the cars that are relevant and cool to drive, allowing you to completely customize those from factory to the works level we had in Shift 1, and giving you the chance to then play against your friends in a social way. Taking Autolog, which is present in Hot Pursuit, to the next level, adding more features and making the core gameplay really fun as opposed to just adding five variations of the 1986 Toyota Corolla or something like that.”

He further added that most users like to keep their garage to about 10-15 cars and after doing some research they have found that, most players just get a single car from each tier and then move over to own a dream machine like a Lambo or Porsche.

“Then, generally, people fill out the rest with cars they want to try out, like a Dodge Challenger, that they may not have access to,” he said. “So people have 10-15 cars anyway. They certainly don’t fill their garage up with every single car there is in the game – all 500 of them.

“It’s a different way of thinking, basically. We want to take those guys on. We want to make a more authentic experience. We’ve put in a new elite handling model and given you more access over deadzone, sensitivity, steering aids, break assists, all that kind of stuff, to allow you to dial in the experience you want. We all come from different backgrounds. You may love muscle cars and might think Burnout is the best game in the world. I may like Japanese tuner cars, and may think Hot Pursuit is the best game in the world.

“We have very different views on racing, so we want to make sure everyone is able to get the experience they want from it.”

Shift 2: Unleashed, which will provide an innovative helmet camera view, will release in spring 2011 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Gran Turismo 5 has debuted at the top spot in this week’s UK charts successfully toppling Black Ops from the place it held for three consecutive weeks.

Gran Turismo 5 is Sony’s third release for the year which debutted at the top of UK’s charts, with GoW3 and Heavy Rain being the earlier ones.

Nintendo’s Epic Mickey didn’t even feature in the top 40, leave alone the top 10. Worries worries, for Nintendo.
