Easy money for GTAV Online.

As per usual, one thing that people are after is an easy way to make a lot of money. Well thankfully that’s much easier in games than it is in the real world. Following patch 1.22 for Grand Theft Auto V, Youtube user Sharmarke Gamer has found a way to make a lot of money, very quickly.

The glitch involves stealing vehicles and making your way to a Los Santos garage with a friend before interrupting the internet connection. Sadly after this point, I found it difficult to understand the user’s accent, so ultimately the rest of the cheat was more of a visual guide to me. But you can check it out for yourself in the video above were you might have better luck.

Patch 1.22 fixed some of the known ways of obtaining easy money without explicitly cheating the games systems, so glitches like this aren’t likely to be around for ever. So if you’re looking quick in game cash, get in fast. Check out the full video below.

Neat, I can see how things look when I run them over now.

Sometimes people goof pretty hard. Sometimes people deny it. Sometimes people roll with the punches and say, “yeah, that happened”. Sometimes, Rockstar post some information about the first person view mode coming to Grand Theft Auto 5 for both on foot and in a car and then realize how hard they goofed and rapidly begin to back peddle.

But Rockstar, my friends, this is the internet. Nothing ever, EVER goes away. How do I know this you say? Well that’s simple. Some smart fellow instantly screen capped the post and transcribed it for good measure! Sir I bend my knee to you. Speaking about the upgrade to the 8th gen hardward and PC, Rockstar gave the usual, “Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC” line. But the relevant part of the post reads as follows:

“In addition to the above features, you’ll see: A brand new first person mode for vehicles that shows the interior of the vehicle, including working speedometers, tachometers, dash lights, and more. A brand new first person mode while on foot.”

So yeah. There’s nothing else really to say other than, that’s friggin awesome.

Rockstar Games’ upcoming open world adventure Grand Theft Auto V will be the biggest of all the developer’s open-world titles. Brady Games has recently announced two different strategy guides for the game, with a pre-order offer available.

Then there’s the hardcover Limited Edition which costs £19.99 and runs 432 pages, which will feature all the content of the Signature Series edition along with an exclusive lithography and GTAV illustrations. Grand Theft Auto V is set to release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 17th worldwide.

What a new Red Dead title could possibly learn from GTA 5

Rockstar Games finally got around to releasing a game play trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5, much to the delight of gamers everywhere. It’s our first real look at what is in store for us in GTA V. While Rockstar is still using the always trusty, Rage engine, it’s been heavily modified from the last generation of Rockstar titles like GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption.

This modified engine was used for Max Payne 3 and was changed yet again to bring us GTA V. With all the new features in Grand Theft Auto 5, that we’ve seen in the five minute gameplay trailer, we can’t help but wonder what a new installment in the Red Dead franchise would be like. Last year, Rockstar had teased that they are working on a new Red Dead game and we thought it will be interesting to analyze what the developers have up their sleeves for the next entry.

Red Dead Redemption was set in a classic and vibrant world that was full of life and populated with some really wonderful characters, environments, wildlife and more. Rockstar did an almost wonderfully unheard of job and really making the environment feel alive.

"Players being able to move through this open world on their own or with a group of people, fighting the law or competing against groups of bandits could be a great way to expand on the Red Dead universe. "

From what we’ve seen in the GTA V trailers, it looks like they’ve expanded on that same idea from the previous GTA games and even taking some ideas from Red Dead, like plenty of wildlife to hunt, as an example. The things Rockstar have learned from GTA IV to GTA V about designing a world has clearly improved over the years. It would be great to see even more substantial shifts in the environment moving forward, especially during the time of America’s rapid expansion into the West for the Red Dead series.

GTA V has shown us that we don’t need to be limited to one character. While Red Dead Redemption started with everyone’s favorite cowboy, John Marston it doesn’t need to stay this way. Moving forward with new characters wouldn’t be a terrible idea for Red Dead 3. GTA V is giving us control over multiple characters to shape the story. This would be an excellent mechanic for storytelling in the wild west where the land and the country and is still being shaped.

With more characters come more complexity in their stories. The story could follow the decline of the American Frontier after the civil war and with the industrial revolution in full-swing. Your group as well as others would struggle to survive in a quickly changing world and landscape. Cowboys existing around motorized vehicles, emergent cities popping up in the west. All the new details we’ve seen regarding GTAV seem like it would fit well in the setting of the Western United States, circa 1900 or so, you know, give or take a few years of course.

"GTA V has shown us that we don’t need to be limited to one character. While Red Dead Redemption started with everyone’s favorite cowboy, John Marston it doesn’t need to stay this way. "

Decisions are playing a bigger role in the new Grand Theft Auto title. In previous games people have always felt kind of like they’ve been along for the ride, an errand boy for a big-time criminal organization. Even after players have worked their way up to the boss themselves it still felt very limited for most of the previous GTA titles. The decision-making aspects would give players the feeling of being their “own man,” so to speak.

With Manifest destiny as a theme, buying up land and owning property would certainly be a perfect approach to the third Red Dead title. The time period of the expanding west, choosing how to manage missions, your allies, enemies and more. Imagine have the option to decide where the story takes you and what side of history you end up on. You could have a group of characters that you play through, much like GTA V. Players could decide to be outlaws and rob trains, steal horses and be a true villain of the West, they could also choose to defend a recently settled town and become the sheriff and to uphold the law, or dispense justice as the players see fit.

Rockstar games is supposedly including a vastly improved online option for GTA V and while there isn’t too much information about it, it looks like there is going to be plenty of people driving, running and flying around the city. Hopefully this will include a higher than 16-player count. An online, open-world like what we’ve seen so far from GTA V is the embodiment and spirit of the old Wild West.

Players being able to move through this open world on their own or with a group of people, fighting the law or competing against groups of bandits could be a great way to expand on the Red Dead universe. Players could hunt other players who’ve committed terrible crimes for bounties and this could be based off of the characters actions not just deciding to be a “Good or Bad guy.” The game should have mechanics that require characters to interact with one another, add extra depth, replayability and good old-fashioned teamwork.

Transportation is pretty straightforward in Red Dead compared to GTA, basically we’re resigned to horses and the occasional buggy or stage couch we get to drive. It would be great to have the option to travel using even more transportation modes though, how about an old Model-T like car, or steam boats?

"With Native American and even some Chinese culture in the area we should have the options for some other weapons like bows, swords, and hatchets. "

Towards the end of the United State’s expansion, forms of transportation like this would have at least started to pop up. Maybe not the automobile, but why not fudge the facts a little bit and maybe give us a steam power cars? GTAV looks like it’s going to have some pretty awesome transportation, while Red Dead doesn’t need to compete with that, some extra choices would still be nice.

The weapons in Red Dead Revolver and Redemption had a good selection of Industrial U.S. firearms. Designs were simple and limited back then, but it would be good to have a wide array of weapons. With Native American and even some Chinese culture in the area we should have the options for some other weapons like bows, swords, and hatchets. GTAV has an improved combat system so it would add a perfect improvement in the next Red Dead and may even open up a whole slew of melee and ranged weapons for the era.

It may be a tall order to expect a new game in the Red Dead series soon, especially when GTA V is right around the corner. With so much fun that many of us have had with the Red Dead series, it’s hard not to want another one. Rockstar is not the type of developer to let a great IP fade into obscurity, never to be seen again.

They are however completely fine with letting time pass between major releases. Look at the amount of time that passed between Max Payne 2 and 3 and the Grand Theft Auto IV and V. We are pretty sure that sequel won’t come anytime soon, but I don’t think that that Rockstar is going to leave us hanging forever.

In response to fan questions regarding the number of discs for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Grand Theft Auto V – along with installation queries – Rockstar Games recently revealed that both versions will have installation requirements. The Xbox 360 version of the open world adventure would also be shipping on two discs.

“In order to provide the best possible experience for such a massive and detailed world, the game will have installation requirements on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 systems. For Xbox 360, Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game. After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs.

“This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance. For PlayStation 3, the game ships on one disc and will install content as soon as you insert the game. The install is roughly 8GB, and players will be able to play as soon as the install is complete.”

Grand Theft Auto V is set to release on September 17th worldwide.

With about 24 million units sold over its lifetime.

Though Rockstar Games hyped up the release of Grand Theft Auto V, indicating that it would sell as much as GTAIV has in its lifetime within its first year, there are plenty of folk who believe the publisher will easily hit that target without much fuss.

One of those is Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter. In an excerpt from a new report describing Take Two Interactive’s sales, Pachter stated that Grand Theft Auto V should hit a record of 20 million units – more than any prior GTA game – sold by Fiscal Year 2014.

This means Take Two will enjoy 6 months of the game on shelves, in contrast to previous titles which released near the end of their respective fiscal years and couldn’t take advantage of holiday sales and such.

Pachter also expects the game to sell 24 million units over its total lifetime, with a 20 percent attach rate. Grand Theft Auto V releases for Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 17th 2013.

The world of Los Santos is just plain monstrous in its breadth and size.

More details for Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V have emerged thanks to the crop of previews popping up online. NeoGAF handily collected all the important details, some which have been detailed here. Here’s the rest.

The game is set to feature five times as many free roaming pedestrians as GTA IV. Of course, if they see you a commit a crime, they’ll immediately call the police and take pics of the crime. They have their own schedules and will move about their day like real people (very much like Skyrim). You’ll even come across various celebrity lookalikes, some of them being riffs on comic book characters and other video game protagonists. These include Impotent Rage, a Superman figure, Space Ranger, who seems to be based on Halo’s Master Chief.

As Michael is obsessed with classic action movies, you’ll be pulling off heists with several set-pieces that draw on said movies. For instance, blocking an armoured truck’s route with a dump truck and stealing the cash to ride off into the night like in Heat.

There will be several of these big heists throughout the game, and mini-heists will be also present to help your team prepare for the big score. In these you’ll need to secure the necessary tools for a heist, including outfits, weapons, a getaway car and of course, masks. It’s not all by the book though – you can implement your own tactics to best go about the missions.

You can also pick up hitch-hikers and show them the ride of their lives. We see an entire culture cropping up here, where players try to capture the most terrible ways to traumatize the digital denizens of Los Santos.

One of the more expansive activities is scuba diving. You’ll be able to visit the ocean and explore an entirely new world under the sea. Unlike previous games, you’ll find sunken wrecks, sharks, coral reefs and treasure to discover. You’ll be competing with NPCs to find said treasure though, and given there’s no waypoint system, you’ll have to find things the old-fashioned way: Look. And possibly avoid the sharks while you’re at it.

That’s not all. Rockstar Games is significantly upping the amount of activities one can perform in GTA V. So get ready for sky diving, yoga, bike races, base jumping, golf, bus tours, robberies, tennis triathlons and more. How will you capture it all? Well, remember that phone we talked about, which people can use to call the cops? It’s the iFruit and you have one too.

You can use it to take pics and upload them to the Social Club. We imagine pics popping up of players’ more insane exploits in good time. It also has apps, including accessing the Internet, contacts, social media (which would be the Social Club, we’re guessing), a calendar, and an option to replay missions. As of now, there are still three unrevealed apps.

Combat is far livelier and takes some cues from Max Payne 3 (also developed under Rockstar Games). Having a three man crew and being able to switch between them allows for far more strategy. There will be cover mechanics and the ability to roll between cover, a new evasive roll and you can even do a “combat jog” where you run with your weapon ready but not raised.

Team-mates will call out targets, and do their own part in taking down enemies. Little verbal indications here and there will indicate where you can switch, and even what you should be doing in some situations. You have a better field of vision this time around and running and gunning is far better handled.

The world of Los Santos is awe-inspiring in its size. It’s reportedly three and a half times the size of Red Dead Redemption’s world. There are plenty of other places to explore, including military bases, beaches, rivers, mountains – the characters you’ll meet are part of the largest cast yet.

Ditto for the weapons list, which is the largest ever, and can upgraded with scopes, different magazines, silencers and other tools. Car customization is making a big comeback, with an enormous vehicle list, and you’ll be able to apply custom paint jobs, modify the engine and breaks, tint up the windows, add some sweet spoilers and much more.

Also property purchases are back. Each character has their own bank account, and you can use the money to pick up houses, taxi companies, businesses and other properties for regular, additional revenue.

Grand Theft Auto V is slated to release worldwide on September 17th for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Find out just how deep the skill-sets go.

A whole bunch of new details on Rockstar Games’ upcoming Grand Theft Auto V has been revealed. Like, literally, a whole bunch from various sources thanks a round of previews released earlier today.

REV3 Games revealed that when it comes to missions, you can actually form a crew from a whole range of crooks rather than just the three main characters. You can get lock pickers, hackers and other specialists, and play using either stealth or the direct action approach.

It also outlined nine attributes which each character is built on: Special, Stamina, Shooting, Strength, Stealth, Flying, Driving, Mechanic Ability and Lung capacity. If members of your crew succeed in a mission, their skills get upgraded.

The game was also described as a huge leap visually over its predecessor GTA IV.

GTAV.net has other details in regards to character attributes. For example, like previous game, you customize characters’ hair, clothes, body art and more. The “Special” attribute varies between each of the three leads – Franklin can slow down time while driving thanks to adrenalin rushes; Trevor can do double damage, reduce damage and use a unique attack while in frenzy model; and Michael uses a unique version of slow mo with bullet time.

Each character has their own distinct personality, and this reflects even in the way they move. Michael is the slower and more deliberate man of the bunch, for instance.

Each character has their own proficiency as well, with Franklin being the best driver and Trevor the best pilot, but they can each improve in other skills given time. Skill categories are shared among the three – you can improve them by completing various quests, side missions and activities. Basically, upgrade one character’s skills and the others will follow.

Special abilities rely on a meter, which will slowly recharge if drained.

During missions or cutscenes, one can switch between the three characters manually or have the AI take control for you. Keep in mind, if the character you play as dies, you have to restart from the last checkpoint, even if other characters are still kicking.

The selection wheel is divided into four triangles, with Franklin, Trevor, Michael, and one’s multiplayer character selectable. Interestingly, if you hit Down on the D-Pad, you can transition in and out of multiplayer. Rockstar has also promised more info on the same in the future.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently scheduled to release on September 17th for Xbox 360 and PS3.

If you thought Rockstar Games was being intensely mum on any details regarding their upcoming open world action adventure – and the next in line for the blockbuster franchise – Grand Theft Auto V, you’re not half wrong. Details have been scant, and aside from some footage here and there, we haven’t been bombarded as much as we would have liked.

Just recently, Shari Albert was discovered as one of the voice actresses for the game by GTAForums. She later tweeted that, “Booked a video game that won’t tell me what it is until the recording Monday- its like they’re the top secret police!”

However, all questions as to who she was playing went unanswered. That is until Albert responded recently that, “People are freakin’ about this video game I voiced. People: I have no idea who I played. I just read what they put in front of me. #paycheck”

It’s not the first time game developers remain quiet about voice talent. Looks like we’ll have wait before the game’s release on September 17th for more details.

New gameplay features or more story? Hopefully both.

After re-opening the Epsilon Program’s Twitter account and teasing some new details, Rockstar Games’ has finally revealed that the open world Grand Theft Auto V will be receiving some new trailers on April 30th.

The interesting word is “trailers” – as in, more than one. It could be a trailer that showcases some of the story and other features, while another trailer would function as a gameplay demo showing off Michel, Trevor and Franklin on a mission. Either way, it should be great since this will be the first real update on the game in months aside from the small cadre of screenshots

There’s been some issues as to the gameplay and the screenshots not quite matching up in their visual fidelity. Regardless, the game’s scope is impressive as you can play from three different perspectives in a new crime saga in Los Santos, San Andreas. It will be releasing on Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 17th.
