Destiny 2: Lightfall

Bungo’s next expansion for Destiny 2 promises high stakes, though when they usually don’t is the greatest mystery. Along with the perfunctory amount of new gear, weapons, Exotics, and perks that can be expected, players can also look forward to the new Strand subclasses. Warlocks can unleash missiles, Titans get large claw-like appendages, and Hunters use a rope dart with some fancy footwork. A new raid, new six-player activity, and a Legendary campaign option, in addition to the quality of life features like loadouts, can all be expected when it launches on February 28th, 2023.

For starters, Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment’s A Plague Tale: Requiem, which has launched worldwide, is available on Game Pass starting today. October 20 will see a flurry of horror titles developed by Frictional Games being added, with Amnesia Collection, Amnesia: Rebirth, and SOMA all joining Game Pass for cloud, console, and PC. Phantom Abyss, currently in early access, joins in on the same day.

October 21 is another big day, with Atlus’ acclaimed JRPG Persona 5 Royal finally coming to Xbox, and releasing for Game Pass via cloud, console, and PC. Finally, October 27 will bring Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery (PC), Gunfire Reborn (cloud, console, and PC), and Signalis (cloud, console, and PC).

Its lineup includes Rabbit and Bear Studios’ Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes with Suikoden series veterans Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kawano appearing along with Junichi Murakami and Osamu Komuta. There’s also Gunfire Reborn, Duoyi Games’ rogue-lite looter shooter that releases in October for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S while releasing later this year for PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

ION LANDS’ cyberpunk simulation Nivalis will also be present, along with Point Blank Games’ Stray Blade and Miasma Chronicles from The Bearded Ladies of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden fame. Digital Bros Group’s indie publishing label HOOK is also set to have some exclusive announcements.

Gunfire Reborn is a roguelike shooter with a focus on co-op gameplay, allowing for up to 4 players to play together. Players take on the role of unique heroes, each with different abilities, and can find randomly-dropped weapons throughout its levels.

While progress is lost on death, Gunfire Reborn still has progression in the form of a skill tree, as well as unlockable characters, with even more unique abilities.

Gunfire Reborn features a cartoon-y art style, with character designs including a martial artist bird, a dual-wielding bear, and a samurai cat. Its guns are also unique, ranging from standard pistols and rifles to more unique kunai, dragons, and Iron Man-styled power gloves.

Dimitrescu’s Daughters – Resident Evil Village

In the lead-up to Resident Evil Village, Dimitrescu and her daughters – Bela, Cassandra and Daniela – seemed like they’d be a major part of the game. While that proved false, Lady Alcina still managed to provide a memorable fight. The same can’t be said for her daughters though. After effortlessly stalking Ethan throughout the castle, being invulnerable to all kinds of damage and seemingly being unkillable, they were undone by…a gust of cold wind? It’s like killing if the T-1000 was killed after being frozen and didn’t reassemble itself (but on three separate occasions so you got the point).
