"Firing a weapon in real life is a visceral, dynamic experience".

If you’re interested in this new IP from Codemasters, then you have to see this developer diary. It gives a lot more details about the guns in the game, and we have to say, it’s quite interesting. The game is being made by the same team that created Operation Flashpoint: Red River.

“FPS fans are going to enjoy Bodycount because it actually feels impactful to fire a weapon. It’s got a consequence, something always happens. We’ve spent a lot of time crafting that and making it feel really violent,” says Andrew Wilson, Game Director. “Firing a weapon in real life is a visceral, dynamic experience”.

The arcade shooter will be out on September 2nd for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Meanwhile, you can follow the official Twitter channel here.

Headshots are an amazing way to murder your enemies (in games, of course). And while headshots may not be easy for people to pull off, they are just too awesome to look at.

Below, we have compiled a list of the six best headshots we have ever seen. Remember, they have been listed out in no specific order, though you’ll immediately recognize upon seeing the videos which have the upper hand over the others.

Enjoy the list!

Fallout 3- V.A.T.S Sniper Headshot

This video is no longer available.

A guy walks over to the foot of a tall building, looks up, and sees a mutant on the roof. Using Fallout 3’s V.A.T.S system, he then snipes his foe, to watch him get thrust of the building as he falls some distance away. Cool to look at, easy to pull off- simply brilliant.

Team Fortress 2- Mid-Air Sniper Headshot

https://youtu.be/JFcdg7gvfrc

A guy swaps from his knife to his Sniper Rifle, walks over to the roof of a building and makes the jump onto a ship below. Mid-air, he zooms in on a guy running on the ship below him, shoots him in the head, and lands safely. How cool is that? If it’s so cool to just look at, how awesome would it have been to pull off?

Sniper Elite- Headshot From A Distance Of 1 KM

Sniper Elite is an awesome game, especially for headshot lovers. I cannot remember the number of times I shot people in the face from huge distances. This is another such video. This guy shoots his enemy from a distance of 1 KM using his Sniper, and thirty five seconds later, the bullets crashed right into the poor target’s head. A WTF video, but in a good way, I guess.

Halo: Reach- Multiplayer Headshot

This video is no longer available.

The guy playing in this video runs across the length of the map, looking for a target, and ultimately reaches an indoor bridge kind of thing. Below, he finds the target, jumps right behind him, whacks him with the butt of his gun in the head, then shoots him in the head, and gains the title of “Head-Hunter.” Believe me, it’s as cool as it sounds, if not more.

What a year it has been. We have bludgeoned people, shot at people, stabbed people, burnt people, sliced people and diced people. So now it is time to take a look back at the most badass weapons in 2009.

5. SCAR-H

Modern Warfare 2

A beastly weapon, on all accounts.

The SCAR-H is a fantastic weapon. Highly used in MW2 multiplayer, and often equipped with a Red Dot Site, this thing is unstoppable. With high accuracy, long range and dishing out a lot of damage, what more can you want?

4. Cannons

Empire Total War

Cannons can be devastating, not only to flesh and blood, but moral.

There are few things more demoralising than a massive cannon barrage from a well placed artillery battery. And if you find the round shot pretty destructive, wait until you get a hold of quicklime. That stuff is evil, it acts like toxic gas that lingers on the battlefield.

3. Hidden Blade

Assassins Creed II

Who doesn't want a pointy blade up their sleeve?

The Hidden Blade makes a reappearance from the original AC with devastating power. With the ability to swiftly and silently make your kills, the Hidden Blade is a very valuable asset. It may not be big, but I bet it certainly feels painful when an assassin is sticking it your throat.

2. Needler

Halo 3: ODST

Spiky.

When you get hold of a weapon that shoots out exploding spikes at a rapid pace, you know it’s badass. Not only do the large spikes themselves do a fair bit of damage on impact, they then explode, causing considerable damage to the erm… recipient- and anyone standing near them.

1. Electricity Gun

Killzone 2

Fraggin'? No- zapping!

There are few things more satisfying than liquidating someone with the Electricity Gun. There is a reason why you only get to use this awesome gun a few times- its bloody powerful. It takes but a second to cook your opponents with this high-voltage weapon.
