Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Havoc DLC finally hit PS3 and PS4 users but it faced a short delay for PC users. It will be releasing on March 3rd which would make for a delay of five days or so. To make up for the same, Sledgehammer Games has announced that it will be giving away the KVA Paramilitary Exo suit free to all PC players.

This special piece of loot will be delivered in the next Supply Drop a player opens and has been described as “rare”. Also, PC players will have a double XP bonus as soon as they log into multiplayer. The bonus will last until the release of the Havoc DLC on PC.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Havoc DLC is has been available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One since January and includes four new multiplayer maps, an AE4 energy assault rifle and the Exo Zombies multiplayer campaign. Stay tuned for more information on it in the coming week.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare fans won’t have to wait very long to play the new Havoc DLC on PS3, PS4 and PC – Sledgehammer Games and Activision have announced that it will be available on those platforms on February 26th.

Havoc features four new multiplayer maps with Core, set in the Gobi desert; Urban, focusing on close quarters warfare; Sideshow, a Wyoming town filled with cartoonish bombs; and Drift, set in the Rocky Mountains and subject to avalanches. There will also be a new weapon with the AE4 and its variant the Widowmaker which functions as an energy assault rifle.

The biggest appeal to the DLC is the new Exo Zombies mode which mashes zombies with the new Exo Suit mechanics. It’s already gotten some positive feedback with its new gameplay additions.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s first DLC Havoc is now available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 users – with other platform users to receive it shortly after – and it brings Exo Zombies to the Call of Duty experience. Given the series’ recent forays into Easter Eggs, it only seems fitting that the new Zombies mode should have something similar.

As it turns out, if you discover a key few objects throughout, you’ll unlock a song over the intercom system. Apocalypse Now fans will recognize this as Richard Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries. Sledgehammer Games’ first major DLC for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Havoc, is now available and brings in four new multiplayer maps, the new AE4 energy assault rifle and Exo Zombies mode.

The four maps in question include Core, set in the ruins of a nuclear fusion plant in the Gobi desert; Urban, a mega structure with close quarters combat and vertical structures within Dallas Ward 3; Sideshow, a rather odd map which allows you rain down cannonballs and explosives on enemies; and Drift, set in a ski resort with carousels and an avalanche that eventually enters during the match.

Exo Zombies, on the other hand, will be a brand new storyline for the game and feature such actors as John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan and Jon Bernthal, who also lend their likeness to the characters they portray. After an experimental weapon goes wrong, four Atlas employees struggle to face off against hordes of the undead. It really can’t get simpler than that.

Sledgehammer Games has announced a Double XP weekend for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare ahead of the release of the Havoc DLC.

Starting on January 23rd, 9 AM PDT, the Double XP weekend ends on January 26th, 9 AM PDT. January 27th marks the release of Havoc DLC (which includes new maps and the Zombies mode).

Aside from earning more XP, players have a chance to try out Hardcore Mosh Pit – which includes hardcore rules in Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Search & Destroy across various maps – and a community playlist called 24/7 Comeback – which includes Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Uplink, Domination and more. The latter will only be available this weekend.

The much vaunted and famed zombies mode, which made its debut with Call of Duty: World at War, and has since gone on to become a mainstay in at least the Treyarch helmed installments; that mode is now back in Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but this time, it comes with a twist- you won’t be facing just any zombies in Advanced Warfare, you will be facing exo-zombies.

You can check out how this mode plays for yourself in the trailer above. While I am a bit of a purist (and also a massive Treyarch fanboy), and so not completely convinced, even I have to admit that it does look plenty fun. So at the very least, I will be giving the mode a fair go when it is out.

Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is still in a very hit-or-miss position when it comes to clicking with fans. The game still has the rest of the year to win audiences over though and the studio intends to make the most of it with upcoming DLC like Havoc.

The Havoc DLC will feature four new multiplayer maps each with their own unique spin and elements to help them stand out. The AE4 energy assault rifle and its variant “The Widowmaker” will also be available in the DLC (though those with the Season Pass will have had early access to the same). The defining mode in Havoc will be the new Exo Zombies mode though.

There seems to be a story mode attached, much like Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Extinction, and there’s plenty of danger to be had from zombies in Exo Suits. The Havoc DLC is out on January 27th for Xbox Live so stay tuned for more information.

Sledgehammer Games and Activision have released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s upcoming weapons. These weapons will be available in the Havoc DLC, releasing early next year, but Sledgehammer is offering early access to the same for Xbox One Season Pass holders. Check out how they work above.

The two weapons in question are the AE4 energy assault rifle along with its variant, the AE4 Widowmaker. Keep in mind that only Xbox One Season Pass holders will be able to access these weapons early – PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC owners will need to wait till the DLC is out. In fact, PlayStation and PC owners will need to wait longer for the DLC since it will arrive later for those consoles.

The Havoc DLC will also include the Exo Zombies mode wherein players can combat zombies armed with Exo suits in a co-op, survival mode. Stay tuned for more information on its official release.

Tengami is a beautiful, beautiful iOS adventure game developed by Nyamyam; its beautiful paper-crafted pop-up world is inspired by Japanese arts and crafts, and requires thorough visual fidelity. The game becomes one of the pioneers of the Havok engine on mobile platforms.
