Gravity Rush 2

There’s some insane creativity at SIE Japan Studio, and that’s no more apparent than in Gravity Rush 2. Developed by the Team Gravity division, the world is larger, livelier and more destructible than its predecessor. But it’s the sheer imagination, in gravity-defying encounters to exploring Kat’s mysterious backstory, that lent the game its own unique charm. Despite good reviews and the developer’s pedigree, Gravity Rush 2 averaged roughly 103,000 copies in Japan during its launch month. Its online service was subsequently discontinued in July 2018.

10. Dead Island

Dead Island didn’t attempt anything new, but it made up for it by offering a solid, survival-horror first person title that made zombies a legitimate threat. Sure, beating on them till your weapons broke was possible, but the very nature of the zombies didn’t make them pushovers. It just seemed like a better idea to take them down, one by one, rather than get into scuffles with hordes. It’s too bad the final game didn’t have the emotional impact of the initial “Family” trailer, but at least they got a cameo.

9. Plants vs Zombies

What’s that you say? “Casual game on list FAIL”? Well, if you consider Plants vs Zombies a casual game, or a casual game as something monkeys operate in between shifts of writing Shakespeare, you’re dead wrong. It’s a tower defense game, wherein you grow different crops to fight against zombie hordes trying to infiltrate your house. The zombies are cartoonishly drawn but still threatening. The sheery variety of zombies and their numbers make endless mode an almost sublime art.

8. Dead Nation

Isometric, top-down zombie shooter places two players against a world teeming with zombies. Flamethrowers, bombs, machine guns and much much more are at your disposal, but will that be enough to dispatch an entire nation of the dead? Dead Nation is addictive at times, but painfully frustrating at others. That being said, there are fewer satisfactions than tearing through hordes and shouting “Are you not entertained?!” at the empty streets one moment, only to be mauled by another thousand or so the next.

Here is a new “Carnival” Trailer for The House of the Dead: OVERKILL – Extended Cut (PS3).  The trailer takes you to the creepy Mulholland Bros. Carnival where you will be able to use many different weapons in the game.  The park have everything from a shooting gallery to the House of Death but you will need to uncover the mystery behind the Bayou City outbreak. The House of the Dead: OVERKILL – Extended Cut will be available exclusively on PlayStation 3, and will support 3D capabilities on October 25, 2011.

Check out this new trailer from House of the Dead: Overkill. It’s one of the scariest trailers ever released, not really, but it is disturbing. The game releases on the PS3 with Move and 3D support in October.

Sega has released a new video for the upcoming Extended Cut for their zombie game, House of the Dead: Overkill. The video is some typical House of the Dead stuff, hilarious and all. You should have a look.

House of the Dead: Overkill was released on the Wii in 2009 and was well received by credits. The Extended Cut is being released for the PS3, and will feature PS Move support, 2 new exclusive levels, HD graphics and 3D support.

Overkill- Extended Cut will release on October 25 for the PS3. Stay tuned till then for more info.

GameSpot has released an extended cut trailer for House of the Dead: Overkill, PS3 and 360 version. The trailer is typical House of the Dead affair- guns, headshots, explosions, blood and the rest. Check it out above, it’s pretty good.

Sega have announced that the fantastic Wii on rails shooter, House of the Dead: Overkill, will be making its way to the PS3.

“The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut is presented for the first time in spectacular High Definition with 3D support and Playstation Move compatibility on the Playstation3 computer entertainment system,” Sega says.

The game will also get two new exclusive stages for your enjoyment. Extra goodies also include Playstation trophies, new game modes and “new content”.

The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut is due for release on October 28th, 2011 in Europe, and October 25th in the United States.
