Upgrading players is accomplished on a player by player basis. Choose a player and navigate to the Upgrades tab. If the tab is unavailable, that simply means the player outright cannot be upgraded and that’s that. Where upgrading is a possibility, there will be a short tree for each upgrade level, listing the requirements beneath.

Training Points are the standard currency used to perform upgrades. Besides that, you will sometimes need items to accomplish subsequent upgrades. These can be gained in a variety of ways including leveling up passes for specific players.
