Klues can lead to hidden chests in Invasion Mode, which means more rewards, but how do you complete them? Find out here.

When playing through Invasion mode in Mortal Kombat 1, you may have noticed strange objectives during some fights. These are Klues, usually garbled and require deciphering. Think of them as bonus objectives, which require a bit more thought. However, because the Klues aren’t straightforward, it can be difficult to know what to do.

There are several regions in Invasion called Mesas, and you’ll encounter one or more Klue in each. Completing the objective tied to a Klue will lead to a hidden chest which provides rewards like Talismans and consumables.

Here are all of the Klues and their solutions. Remember that these only apply for Season of the Specter – the next season could have different Riddle and Klues.

Klue

Solution

Location

ESDORYT TEH DWLOR

Rearranges to DESTROY THE WORLD. To complete this, equip Cyrax as a Kameo Fighter and use his Fatality, Annihilation.

Fengjian Village

Toasty!!!

Requires using Scorpion’s Toasty!!! Fatalitity to end a match. Once again, equip him as a Kameo Fighter and use his Fatality to complete this objective.

Sun Do Festival

AMNISLTA4

Rearranges to Talisman 4 and requires using a Talisman four times in a single match. Talismans are pretty easy to come by, so make sure to equip a Talisman with at least four charges. Enter the fight and use it that many times.

Sun Do Festival

Flipping Out

This objective involves changing your fighter’s stance by pressing L2/LT. You must do it more than 20 times in a single match to complete the objective.

Tarkatan Colony

DEDAERHT

Rearranges to Threaded, which means using Ashrah’s second Fatality Threads of Ill Fate to finish a fight.

Tarkatan Colony

Another Test Subject

The Mesa itself is a hint, but you need to use Shang Tsung’s second Fatality to win a match.

Shang Tsung’s Laboratory

Quackx10

During a match, duck ten times, which is done by simply pressing down on the left analog stick or D-pad.

Living Forest

NOMED RENNI

Rearranges as Inner Demon, which is Sareena’s Fatality. Equip her as a Kameo Fighter and use the Fatality to finish the fight.

Living Forest

ERTECA AOSCH

Rearranges as Create Chaos, and it’s perhaps one of the easiest objectives to complete. Simply equip Havik and use one of his Fatalities at the end of the match.

Living Forest

KCIRT TAH

Rearranges as Hat Trick and requires using Kung Lao’s Kameo Fatality at the end of the match. Again, this is the Kameo Fighter version, not the playable fighter, so equip him and execute the Fatality to complete this objective

Fire Temple

Use the element that brings life

Those who watched the original live-action Mortal Kombat film will recognize this quote, but it doesn’t apply to Sub-Zero. Instead, you must play as Rain and use one of his Fatalities to end the match.

Fire Temple
