Codemasters' excellent rally racing title offers over 70 stages and 40 cars to race.

Once again, the Humble Store is doling out Codemasters’ DiRT Rally for free on PC. The offer is currently available until September 1st, 10 AM PST or until supplies last. So hurry up, claim your Steam key and enjoy one of the best racing games ever made.

DiRT Rally offers six rallies with more than 70 stages, from Greece and Monte Carlo to Sweden and Wales. You can drive over 40 cars, both classic and modern, as you race through harrowing turns. Rally Championships are also available to get you into driving events and earning money to ultimately rule over the division.

If that weren’t enough, you can take part in custom events, whether single or multi-stage. The strength of DiRT Rally is in its unforgiving realism, helping the game stand out from the mainline DiRT series. Check out our review of the first game here. DiRT Rally 2.0 released earlier this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC – check out our review for that as well.

Epic starts addressing one of the biggest complaints people have had with its store so far.

One of the big (legitimate) issues people have had with the Epic Games Store’s snapping up of PC games’ exclusivity has been Epic also blocking sales of games via third party key resellers. Given that said key resellers often allow games to be sold at a cheaper cost than their store price, and that every other PC storefront allows them to sell their games, and even consoles – which are otherwise closed systems – allow key reselling on these stores, Epic has looked really bad with this decision. It’s made their rhetoric of “competition” ring hollow when they’re blocking competition.

It seems that they’ve listened to the criticism because during their GDC panel, they announced a measure to address this feedback to at least some measure—the Humble Store will now be allowed to resell Epic Game Store keys, with Epic taking no cut whatsoever from any keys sold this way (presumably Humble will charge the standard 30% revenue cut that it does over Epic’s 12%). Epic will also, to this end, allow players to link their Humble and Epic accounts to allow players to make direct purchases across the two stores.

It’s still not as good as Valve and Steam, or even the three consoles, of course—Epic needs to allow key resales on more than just one reseller for that. But it’s a start, and it indicates Epic is receptive to feedback. That’s good news, because it means the Epic Game Store can only improve from here on.

You also get free two track packs along with the base game.

Codemasters has a number of current racing games that are worth getting into, the latest being DiRT Rally 2.0. However, for those who haven’t sampled the developer’s racing offerings – or just like great games that are free – GRID 2 is currently free on the Humble Store. It also comes with two free track packs – Bathurst and Spa-Francorchamps.

Simply head over to the Humble Store, click on “Get The Game”, and you should have the Steam keys for the game and track packs delivered accordingly. Keep in mind that the offer is only valid until March 17th, 10 AM PT. Also the offer is valid for as long as supplies last, so hurry up.

Furthermore, you need to redeem the keys before March 21st, 10 AM PT. If you don’t, they’ll expire and be pretty much useless. As for whether GRID 2 is worth playing, you can check out GamingBolt’s official review here. Track variety is kind of “meh”, but otherwise the single-player experience is well worth it.

Most importantly, Civilization 6 can now be bought via the Humble Store.

I’m sure you remember the announcement that Humble would be selling Nintendo Switch titles from a few months ago. At the time, that announcement came with a lot of caveats—they would be selling Switch games only in the US (not even in Canada!), and only Nintendo’s own games would be available.

Well, that latter restriction seems to have loosened up a bit now. Today, Humble announced in a press release that select third party Switch games will also be available on its website. Most notably, 2K Games’ titles are available, which means games such as NBA 2K19 and Civilization 6 can be bought from there. Indie games such as Velocity 2X are also available from the Humble Store; you can see the full list below.

Hopefully, this list will continue to expand to encompass as much of the Switch library as is possible. Also hopefully, Humble and Nintendo will work to get this feature available outside of the US as well.

For now, it is US only, but hopefully Nintendo and Humble open it up to the rest of the world soon.

The Humble Store will now sell digital versions of Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch games in the United States. The Humble Store page announced today that it will be selling Nintendo game codes going forward—more importantly, this also opens the potential for further Nintendo Humble Bundles.

Nintendo games, however, are only being sold on the Humble Store in the US right now. While you can see the notification on the store page everywhere in the world, you can’t even access the Switch and 3DS section unless you’re in the US, or you use a VPN. The pricing seems to be on par with eShop prices for now, though apparently, if you have a Humble account, you get $5 off towards Nintendo games, per Wario64 on Twitter. Given how rarely Nintendo games go on sale to any degree at all, I suppose this is the best we are going to get for now.

Let’s just hope they will open up Humble Store Nintendo sales to the rest of the world soon enough. Right now that section of the store isn’t even accessible in Canada.

XSEED is launching their 2006 Xbox 360 millitary action title Bullet Witch, on Steam and Humble Store on April 25, bringing the third person Western styled action title with Japanese Dark Fantasy elements to a new audience of players who can now join Alicia on her journey. For the launch week, those interested will receive a 10% discount off the $14.99 MSRP.

Bullet Witch tells the story of Alicia, a witch with her trusty broomstick like gunrod, fighting off the demonic hoards that have brought humanity to the brink of collapse. The re-release will alter game balance and bumps the resolution, frame rate and lighting, but keeps the original textures.

Some footage of the PC version has been shared by XSEED which you can see just below. The release will also include all of the DLC costumes and bonus missions from the original release for free, some of which might need to be unlocked through gameplay. Are you going to check out the game? Let us know in the comments below.

OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood has finally launched for PC, after its launch for PlayStation earlier this year. The game, which serves as a sequel to last year’s breakout sidescrolling indie skateboarding hit, is an improvement on the original game in every possible way- and is now available to a larger crowd to play.

The game will support keyboard and mouse controls, although of course, it is optimized for gamepad inputs. Essentially, if you want the best, least frustrating OlliOlli 2 experience, it might be for the best to just hook up an Xbox controller, DualShock 4, or Wii U Pro.

OlliOlli 2: Welcome To Olliwood is available to PC players via Steam, GoG, and the Humble Store. PC players can also check out the original OlliOlli game, available from those same stores, if they so wish.

OlliOlli 2 is also available on PS3, PS4, and PS Vita; the original OlliOlli game was eventually made available for Xbox One and Wii U. No word yet on whether OlliOlli 2 will also be making a similar jump.

Vita loses another exclusive.

Formerly PlayStation Vita exclusive skateboarding game OlliOlli will be releasing on PC on July 22, over Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store, across Windows, OS X, and Linux, Devolver Digital and Roll7 announced today. As they point out, the PC version boasts ‘four game modes, sweet rewards, scientifically measured precision fingering for the ultimate board control and more.’ Yes, those are their words. The game’s wealth of content, including 250 challenges and 120 tricks to master, mean that all players should find it good value for money.

The game will retail for $12.99 on all platforms and storefronts. With the Vita version having been received exceptionally well upon its release- it was hailed as an essential Vita game back when it released in January- the PC version should definitely be worth picking up as well, especially by those who miss the old school (super awesome) Tony Hawk Pro Skater games.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.

Bullet-hell/arcade shooter Luftrausers has finally received a release date. Initially revealed for the PS3 and PS Vita, the game will also be arriving for PC on March 18th according to Valmbeer. It will be published by Devolver Digital.

Those interested in the PC version can head over to Steam or the Humble Store and pre-order it. You’ll get a 10 percent discount from the usual $10/£6.99 price. Those with tons of friends can also pick up the Air Raid Pack, which contains 1 DRM-free version and 100 giftable Steam keys. It goes for $749.99/£524.25, so it’s also a good way for you and 100 other buddies to avail of discounts rather than purchasing the game in bulk.

Luftrausers is unlike most other arcade shooters as it focuses on survival and increasing your survival times as much as possible. It’s also presented in a sweet monochrome colour scheme. Stay tuned for more information on the game in the coming weeks.

PS4 version expected to follow in March.

The rather humorous and striking indie title, Octodad: Dadliest Catch, will finally be hitting Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux later this month on Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store.

The trailer above is also the first chance that we have gotten to take a look at the game’s story which has so far been kept tightly under wraps (our looks at the game so far have been limited entirely to what it is going to be conceptually and mechanically, with the only inkling that we have about the title’s story or setting coming from its punny and enigmatic title). Check it out and tell us what you think.

Lest you forget, this game is also due out on the PlayStation 4 soon- the developers were swift to respond to queries of that version, which was otherwise conspicuously absent from the announcements. The developers promised it would be targeting a March 2014 release date.
