Jon Jones on crowd energy.

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon “Bones” Jones spoke with EA Sports host Lauren Berlingeri, specifically about how he, as a champion of the sport, feeds off of the energy of the crowd. EA Sports UFC will be released on upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release.

Berlingeri speaks to how, in the game, the energy of the crowd will have a direct influence on your fighters energy and moral. The champion, however, has a different outlook. When he’s in the cage, he prefers to focus on himself and his opponent, nothing else. He feels there will always be fans on their feet and screaming, no matter what – sometimes it will be positive, sometimes it will be negative. But what really matters are you, the effort you’ve put in, and your opponent.

UFC will incorporate EA’s ignite engine, and will utilize artificial intelligence that will adapt to changes in player strategies mid-fight. The hope is that this intuitive system will make the fighting experience as realistic as possible.

EA Sports UFC will release May 5, 2014 across PS4 and Xbox One

No Ignite support for PC.

Ignite is the new engine that powers up FIFA 14 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and it will not be used on the PC version of FIFA 14 according to Joystiq when they spoke with EA Sports Global Communications Manager, Steve Frost.

“Ignite will be the engine that drives our sports games on PS4 and Xbox One,” Frost said. “It will not be used for FIFA 14 on PC.”

Ignite will also run NBA Live 14, EA Sports UFC and Madden NFL 25 when EA Sports announced it during the Xbox One reveal.

“The video uses assets pulled directly from the in-game engines, and was rendered to create this first look multi-product trailer,” Frost said. “It’s representative of where we expect our games will be when they launch.”

EA Communications Specialist Brad Hilderbrand has stated that everyone will get a better look at Ignite at this year’s E3.

“Yes, given the timing and planning required for the Xbox One reveal event the EA Sports Ignite video was developed in a pre-rendered video format,” Hilderbrand said. “We’ll be showing off the game using in-game assets at E3.”

Let us know if you’re excited for Ignite supporting PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the comments below.
