<p>Risen 2: Dark Waters is in development and the first bits of info involving the game has emerged thanks to a user who has a copy of PCGames magazine being kind enough to share it.</p>

<p><strong>Story</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You are again the same nameless heroes of Risen</li>
<li>He is now living in a small harbour village called &#8220;Caldera&#8221;</li>
<li>You are now wearing the Ocular of the inquisitor (story relation not known yet)</li>
<li>The game is now spread about multiple islands</li>
<li>There is still the inquisition located on one of the islands</li>
<li>The story is more complex and will have different consequences depending on your choices</li>
<li>You will meet familiar faces like Carlos, Gregorius Steelbeard</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Setting</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Pirate setting</li>
<li>It&#8217;s no longer on Faranga from Risen</li>
<li>You can travel to different islands by ship (if you can have an own ship is not known yet)</li>
<li>In the sea lives different sea monsters who attack ships</li>
<li>It will also have an fast travel system on the islands</li>
<li>The islands will have different climate zones with different settings and monsters</li>
<li>Guns,canons and othe fire weapons in the game</li>
<li>There is still magic</li>
<li>Skill system same as Risen</li>
<li>Should feel more realistic than Risen (for example chests who are empty or have rubble in it, but to every chest is a story)</li>
<li>The world is bigger as in Risen</li>
<li>Side quests should be more complex than in Risen</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Graphic / Technic</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Animation is now motion captured</li>
<li>NPCs and monsters more detailed</li>
<li>Bump mapping, realisitc relatime clouds instead of a skybox</li>
<li>More realisitc faces</li>
<li>No loading times on the islands and invisible walls only short loading by changing the island</li>
<li>NPCs talking with each other (for example you can hear a conversation between too NPCs when the treasurer leave his treasure)</li>
<li>Every NPC has a daily routine like in Risen</li>
<li>In the night different monsters than on the day like in Risen</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Monsters</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>There will be Gnomes again</li>
<li>Minecrawler</li>
<li>Some familiar and some completly new monsters</li>
<li>Also normal animals like apes,boars,&#8230; depending on the climate zone</li>
</ul>
<p>Risen 2 is far into development and is around 80% complete. Piranha are doing voice recording for the game right now.</p>

<p>Risen 2 is in development for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.</p>

<p>A GT Planet <a href="http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=132738" target="_blank"><strong>member</strong></a> who has a real copy of the game (Amar) has posted some pretty interesting new bits of information related to Gran Turismo 5 and we have them covered for you over here.</p>
<p>He confirmed that the game won&#8217;t have any rewind feature and you&#8217;re on your own once you start the race.</p>
<p>He confirmed the already known fact that standard cars won&#8217;t allow you to change your rims but at the same time pointed out another interesting fact that they will lack any kind of interiors aswell.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>And no, really no, Standards do not have interiors too.</strong></p></blockquote>
<p>He also bought to the fore, another interesting point about Gran Turismo 5&#8217;s save files, those are copy protected and you can&#8217;t copy-paste them into your memory stick.</p>

&#x2013; One mission in the game involves rescuing ISA Captain Narville.<br />
<strong>&#x2013; Game is playable in 3D!</strong><br />
&#x2013; Have to wear 3D glasses, apparently the 3D effects are &#x201C;crazy.&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; Combat is &#x201C;unchanged from predecessor.&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; Or is it? Hand to hand combat involves you &#x201C;Unloading a string of different (and often brutal) attacks on stunned enemies.&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; The scale is supposed to be &#x201C;bigger this time.&#x201D;<br />
<strong>&#x2013; The Jetpacks are &#x201C;surprisingly lightweight and agile, Killzone 3&#x2019;s jetpack is easier to maneuver compared to the sluggish incarnations of the gadget found in other games.&#x201D;</strong><br />
&#x2013; New weapon called the Wasp, basically shoots a &#x201C;flurry of rockets&#x201D; at an enemy.<br />
&#x2013; Will show off the Helghast culture.<br />
&#x2013; There is actually a Helghast language, which will be explored in the game.<br />
&#x2013; Will have &#x201C;diverse locales.&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; Have to sit in the center of the 3D tv for the 3D effects to work.<br />
&#x2013; 3D in this game is called a &#x201C;Game Changer.&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; Going to have &#x201C;Intense Action&#x201D;<br />
<strong>&#x2013; Jetpacks double as a weapon, which basically means a machine gun mounted right on top of it.</strong><br />
&#x2013; If you shoot Helghast with jetpacks, they&#x2019;ll &#x201C;explode like roman candles&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; To control the jetpack, you &#x201C;have to activate bursts of speed in midair, propelling yourself across further distances.&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; The Jetpack resembles something you&#x2019;d do in platformers such as Super Mario Bros. Or Uncharted<br />
&#x2013; In one mission, you have to use the jetpack by &#x201C;launching yourself from glacier to glacier&#x201D;<br />
&#x2013; You&#x2019;ll see &#x201C;a lot of&#x201D; snow levels.<br />
&#x2013; Everything is more spread out in this game.<br />
&#x2013; The game looks very complete.<br />
In case you didn&#x2019;t notice our not-so-subtle <strong>bold</strong> hints- there will be jetpacks and 3D in Killzone 3. Hell yeah.<br />
But pick your jaw up off the floor, there are some scans to feast your eyest on too.</p>
