The PS4 and PS5 release of As Dusk Falls was originally announced back in December. For context, the game had been out on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S since July 2022. The newer PS5 release of the game also makes use of some of the console’s exclusive features, which were explained by developer INTERIOR/NIGHT back in February.

As Dusk Falls takes place a few years after events that take place in 1998 that end up mixing together the lives and fates of two families. The game largely revolves around the fallout and consequences of the choices that were made during the fateful events during a robbery gone wrong in 1998. It features a branching storyline that can be further explored by players by fulfilling specific requirements.

The game also features multiplayer for up to 8 players, making use of console controllers as well as smartphones through a dedicated app. In this way, players can experience the stories of a bunch of different characters in their own unique ways.

Some of the new features coming to As Dusk Falls as part of its PS5 release include the ability to use the DualSense controller’s trackpad as the primary method of interacting with the game and the use of haptic feedback to lean into tense moments in its narrative.

Much like the game’s other versions, the PS5 version will also allow up to 8 players to partake in multiplayer by making use of a smartphone app that connects with the game.

While the PS5 and PS4 versions of As Dusk Falls are set for release on March 7, the game has been out on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One since July 2022. It is a narrative-focused title that explores the events that unfold in two families after a fateful event in 1998.

Along with coming to PS4 and PS5, As Dusk Falls is also coming to more PC platforms, namely Gog.com and Epic Games Store.

As Dusk Falls has received an M-rating by the ESRB, which stands for mature themes. There’s still no information about its release date, but classification ratings are generally given to games when they’re approaching launch, which might potentially hint at an upcoming release for As Dusk Falls. As Dusk Falls is an interactive drama with a unique art style that’s set against the backdrop of Arizona. The game follows the story of two families embroiled in a bank robbery, and will seemingly take place over the course of 30 years. With ex-Quantic Dream talent at the helm, expectations are naturally high for As Dusk Falls.
