Square Enix’s mobile port of Valkryie Profile: Lenneth, itself a PSP port of the first game that released in 2006, is now available on Android and iOS for $15.99. Check out the recent gameplay and launch trailers below.

Valkryie Profile: Lenneth is in Norse mythology as gods and mortals run amok. As the Valkyrie descends from Valhalla to Midgard, she must find chosen souls and recruit them to become Einherjar. Fighting alongside these characters will help train them, though the story also focuses on the Valkryie discovering her own identity. Renowned for its combat and soundtrack, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth even features multiple endings based on one’s decisions.

Though the game is a full-priced title, there are “booster options” available via in-app purchases for those who choose to use them. Mobile-centric features include visuals optimized for smartphones, the ability to save anywhere along with auto-save, an auto-battle option, and controls/UI optimized for the touchscreen. What are your thoughts on the mobile version? Let us know in the comments below.

Enjoy the unique sound of Pokemon Black and White on your iDevice.

The Pokemon Company has been releasing the soundtrack to all the Pokemon games on iTunes recently, and they just went ahead and released another one today- Pokemon Black and White: Super Music Collection, which is a complete and exhaustive collection of the music in the extremely well reviewed Nintendo DS Pokemon games, is now available on iTunes as well.

Pokemon Black and White’s music was a complete departure from the series’ signature soundfont- it was more electronic, with an emphasis on electric guitar and heavy percussion, and it led to some extremely memorable and atmospheric tunes that have since gone on to be fan favorites. It was also the largest collaborative effort for a Pokemon soundtrack yet: it was composed by Junichi Masuda, Shota Kageyama, Hitomi Satō, Gō Ichinose, Morikazu Aoki, Minako Adachi, and Satoshi Nohara, and is arranged by Shota Kageyama, Hitomi Satō, Gō Ichinose, and Minako Adachi.

With the release of the Black and White collection, only Black 2 and White 2 remain missing from the iTunes Store. The Pokemon Company promises that it will be made available soon.

With soundtracks from the remaining Pokemon games coming to iTunes soon too.

The Pokemon games might not necessarily be as celebrated for their music as, say, The Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros., or Final Fantasy, but the music in these games still plays a crucial role in setting the mood and atmosphere and is almost always uniformly excellent. Now, following the soundtracks to Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, and Pokemon X and Y all being made available on iTunes, The Pokemon Company has announced that the soundtrack for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will be available on iTunes as well.

This digitally remastered collection, entitled Pokémon Diamond & Pokémon Pearl: Super Music Collection features beautifully re-orchestrated music originally composed by Junichi Masuda, Gō Ichinose, and Morikazu Aoki- the jazzy music was, and still remains, unlike anything else in the Pokemon series, and it gave the Sinnoh games their own distinct musical identity.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were released for the Nintendo DS back in 2006 in Japan, and 2007 in the rest of the world, and they were massive hits, representing a stunning comeback for the franchise that had been in decline in the Gameboy Advance era; their worldwide sales stood at roughly 18 million units sold, and they were swiftly followed by Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Pokemon Black and White, and Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, all on the DS.

The Pokemon Company promises that the soundtracks to the Pokemon Black and White games will be uploaded to iTunes soon as well.

The full soundtrack for Rockstar’s blockbuster game Grand Theft Auto V is now available on the iTunes store. The soundtrack can either be purchased as three distinct albums for $9.99 each, or as a consolidated set for $23.99.

The first volume, Original Music, is a collection of brand new music from a wide array of artists including Wavves, Twin Shadow and Tyler, The Creator. The second volume, The Score, includes all the music from GTA V specifically composed for its dynamic soundtrack in game.

Volume 3 is The Soundtrack, and possibly the star of the show, features select songs from the full selection available across GTA V’s seventeen distinct radio stations. It fetures tracks by Bootsy Collins, Flying Lotus, Bob Seger, Jai Paul, Toro y Moi, Waylon Jennings and more.

The full track listings for each of the three volumes can, of course, be viewed on the compilation’s iTunes pages.

Chair Entertainment’s Infinity Blade 3 is finally available on iTunes for $6.99/£4.99. Pick it up for US here or UK here.

The Infinity Blade itself, forged by the Worker, will once again be paramount to bringing peace to the land and you’ll be able to control two characters this time around.

Running on Unreal Engine 3, Infinity Blade 3 was infamous for being delayed for several years before finally re-emerging at Apple’s reveal event for the iPhone 5S and 5C this month.
The composer's insight on the Lost Planet 3 soundtrack

Jack Wall, the composer for the upcoming Lost World, has composed scores for such huge titles as Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Mass Effect, Myst, Splinter Cell and more. Now Wall has announced that his latest score will release in its entirety via his record label on iTunes and Amazon for download in time with the release of the game.

The soundtrack is split into two distinct volumes, each of which represent the two different approaches to the game’s soundtrack. Wall’s thoughts on entire piece are as follows:

“When Spark and Capcom asked me to write alien country as roughly half of the soundtrack to Lost Planet 3, I was really intrigued. It would be the main character’s mix tape. This is the music Jim Peyton listens to when he’s on mission in his rig – the music his wife Grace, back on Earth, sends him to remind him of home. The challenge was to make it real, but add just enough elements and context to make it seem like it is music from the future.”

As well as composing and producing the Alien Country Music, Wall performs acoustic, baritone and electric guitars on all the tracks. Joining him on this unique sci-fi musical adventure, Wall formed and recorded a band of celebrated artists including composer Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica) on accordion, guitarist Craig Stull (Firefly) on dobro guitar, drummer Joe Travers (Zappa Plays Zappa), vocalist Cindy Shapiro (Myst III: Exile), and cinema’s foremost harmonica player, Tommy Morgan, amongst other talented musicians. Key tracks include: “Rattlesnake,” “A Long Way Home,” “Ballad of Jim Peyton,” and “Outlaw.”

“For me the score needed to be two things: mysterious and wild,” explains Wall. “If I could inject those ideas into the music for E.D.N III, I would be doing my job. I’m very excited by what we’ve put together for players. The script, acting and story seamlessly intertwine with this music to create a tangible world.”

The Lost Planet 3 soundtrack will be available for digital download via Wall’s label, Lost Sound Records on August 27th.

The kitschy futuristic 80’s action movie styled Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, set in the year 2007 (the future!), is now on iTunes.

Ubisoft has announced that it is available for preorder and will release on May 1st for £7.99. Of course, for those who pre-ordered the game for PC, they’ll already be receiving it. So head here in case you don’t want to miss out.

The soundtrack is composed of 25 tracks, all created from scratch by the group named – no joke – Power Glove, and is their first collab for a video game. Some of the tracks include HELO-73, Power Core, Sloan, Blood Scope, Katana, Omega, Combat I, Combat II and my personal favourite, Combat III.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a stand-alone expansion separate from Far Cry 3 and is developed by Ubisoft Montreal for PSN, Xbox Live and PC. It will release on May 1st worldwide, but release first for PS3 in North America.

Rockstar Games has made the entire GTA stations available on Spotify and iTunes. If you like in India you probably won’t be able to listen to them via Spotify but iTunes works really well.

All the games released in the series are featured there and if you are a GTA fan then you will absolutely love what they have done.

You can check out the playlist on Rockstar’s website and they feature games like Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto 4 and Episodes from Liberty City.

“And for those nostalgic for some of the commercials from these games, be sure to check out The Advertising Council repository if you haven’t before — a proper collection of radio adverts from the archives of LC, VC and SA’s historical radio dials.”

A classic adventure with a new twist, Final Fantasy returns to iOS.

Even for those who have been bitten one too many times by the Final Fantasy bug, the latest game in the series, releasing on January 17th for iOS, namely Final Fantasy: All The Bravest looks pretty damn exciting.

In a press detailing all the features, Square-Enix mentions that you’ll be able to take part in battles with some of the largest parties yet (and honestly, the screenshots say it all). There will be 20 different jobs, with the in-game shop offering up to 35 characters from different Final Fantasy games. You can also purchase game stages from Final Fantasy VII, X, and XIII.

Not impressed? Besides featuring 30 classic songs from the series, familiar foes, extensive catalogs for everything you encounter, global leaderboards and touch functionality for multiple character manipulation, All The Bravest gives a neat little twist on the Active Time Battle system.

Once every three hours, you’ll gain the Fever option, which allows you to continuously attack an enemy without waiting for your gauge to be full. Plus flashy lights. One can never go wrong with flashy lights.

Check out Final Fantasy: All The Bravest on iTunes today.
