There are a lot of confirmed reports of the PS3 being hacked again. This time, it’s a lot more worrisome for Sony as you can play games via burned Blu-Ray discs. These are the games that are currently working.

God of War Origins

X-Men Destiny

What this does is allows installation of unsigned code on the PS3. You can bypass any Sony created code through it. This is truly bad news for Sony, as they have been fighting hard to prevent piracy. They even sued a lot of hackers for hacking the PS3 before, and it remains to be seen as to what they do now.

You cannot access the PSN while using the dongle so it is only for single player games. It will be interesting to see what Sony does now. The dongle is confirmed to be working at many places, and they have already started taking orders for $45 per each piece.

The dongle is from Indonesia, so Sony’s hands are tied when it comes to the law. We do not condone piracy but is this the final blow to the security of the PS3?

After having been given a month’s time to prepare a case against the recently released PS3 hacking device, PSJailbreak, Sony finally came up with a deathblow to the PS3 hackers, and the court in Australia has officially banned Jailbreak, allowing no retailer to stock the pirate device.

OzModChips, ModSupplier, and Quantronics have already removed the product from their listings. Sony has also claimed all the damages for the “inconveniences caused” PLUS the profit made by all retailers in Australia.

The product can neither be sold, NOR BE IMPORTED in Australia, now, according to the new law.

Sony has also filed a case against Zoomba LDC in California, distributors of Jailbreak in the States.
